Brian's POV
My name is Brian. Brian Johannes Adams. I'm not an ordinary human as you might think. I'm a vampire, yup. You heard and read it correctly, I'm a vampire. The Adams family is the last descendants of King George Adams, who led the vampire nation hundreds of years ago. We used to reside in Romania, but something unfortunate happened that led me to New York.
Among all my family members, I'm the most different. For a long time, the vampire race has refrained from consuming human blood. Most of my family has switched to animal blood, but not me. At first, I managed because of a potion from my grandmother that could suppress my vampire instincts. However, in the past year, this potion hasn't been working as effectively on me.
Ten people suddenly died because of me sucking their blood. My family considered me extremely dangerous. They intended to send me to the black valley, which means I would be eradicated and die. But I refused and fled from Romania.
New York is my chosen city. I've learned to act normal and control all my urges to drink human blood. Although I've ordered blood from ARC three times in the past week, at least I've managed not to attack any humans.
"Can I sit here?"
A woman stood in front of me wearing a sexy and revealing outfit. Another thing that sets me apart from my family is that I'm not interested in women. Yup, they just don't appeal to me.
I once fell for my cousin, Joseph, but of course, I kept it a secret as best I could. That's why I choose to stay silent and not interact much with everyone on this campus.
"No," I replied curtly.
"Why?" She asked, looking like she didn't accept my answer. I didn't even know her.
"I'm not interested in you."
That answer finally drove her away from me. I could hear her friends laughing at her for not being successful in getting to know me. But they didn't find me weird; they thought of me as even cooler and more mysterious.
Rather than having her sitting in front of me, I'd prefer it to be Dylan.
I glanced briefly in Dylan's direction as he was cuddling with his girlfriend, Theressa. My heart felt hot. I've been attracted to Dylan since the first day I arrived here. I saw him sweating as he ran to Theressa and kissed her on the baseball field, not to mention Dylan's body scent was so strong. We vampires find it easy to smell body scents, and Dylan was one of the best.
If only there was a chance, I'd love to take Theressa away and suck her blood so she wouldn't cuddle with Dylan anymore.
Yesterday felt like the happiest day in my life. I could clearly look at Dylan's face, even though I acted cold and brusque towards him. Nevertheless, my heart was truly blooming.
The bell rang loudly, almost deafening. Before leaving the cafeteria, I looked back at Dylan once more. Unfortunately, this time he turned to look at me too. Whether it was intentional or not, even though I didn't want to repeat yesterday's incident where our eyes met while I was admiring him.
I quickened my pace and kept my cold expression to prevent him from detecting that I had purposely glanced at him.
"Hey, Brian!"
Suddenly, someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Jeremy and all his friends smiling at me. Of course, Dylan was among them. I had to swallow saliva because I was nervous about smelling his intoxicating scent.
"Yes, what's up?"
"Are you free after this? We w--."
"We want to invite you to Dylan's house to watch and spend the night. Today, both of his parents are visiting his sister in Amsterdam. There will be plenty of alcohol and roasted pork that we've already ordered. Are you in?"
Jeremy's sentence was immediately interrupted by their friend whose name I forgot. Judging by their numbers and the way this girl was talking to me, it seemed like I was going to be paired with her.
I wasn't really interested, but when I heard that it was Dylan's house, I got quite excited and eventually accepted the invitation.
"That sounds interesting, I accept your offer."
The girl instantly jumped for joy, then she took out her phone and handed it to me.
"Can I get your number?"
Her eyes were like a pleading hungry cat. I just raised an eyebrow. Jeremy then immediately hugged me and said, "You don't need her number, Ashley. He's in the same class as me, we'll go to Dylan's house together."
Jeremy then took me along with him, although I still wanted to stand and gaze at Dylan. As we walked away from them, I could clearly hear that voice laughing.
My body felt like it was being showered with snow, very cold, and suddenly my desire increased. His body scent was so strong. I released Jeremy's embrace and said, "Well, I gotta go to the toilet."
I rushed to the bathroom, and once I got there, I found that I was already hard. This was the first time that just from someone's body scent, I could be this aroused. I swallowed my saliva, and I had to sit down for a moment to let my arousal subside. I didn't want to masturbate in the campus restroom; it would have felt like my dignity was very low.
After nearly five minutes, I could finally leave the toilet. However, as I opened the toilet door, I saw that face again.
"Oh, hi, Brian! Professor Albert has arrived in your class."
Dylan greeted me and made me nervous. Fortunately, I managed to stay calm and responded by saying, "Okay, thanks."
I immediately walked away. My heart was filled with blossoms once again. Perhaps I should have answered with the words, "Okay, thanks, honey!"
Brian’s POVHe fell.I panicked, really panicked. It seemed like his face hit the ground quite hard. But I still maintained my composure, not wanting to overreact.Brian was a cold and mysterious man, or at least that's what I always remembered when my heart and mind started to go overboard for Dylan."Twenty-five times, and you've already failed. I'm starting to doubt practicing with you tomorrow," I said to Dylan, trying to keep my cool.Dylan looked at me sharply and raised an eyebrow. He seemed very irritated."What did you say? Are you underestimating me?" Dylan asked."I'm not underestimating you, but I just find it hard to believe considering your strength. You fell on the twentieth count; your muscles are quite weak," I replied.Dylan immediately stood up and stared at me angrily, saying, "In that case, why don't we have a contest right now? Two hundred push-ups each! Can you handle it, nerd boy?""Hey, what are you guys doing?!"A voice came from the balcony above; I turned t
Dylan's POVI hate and I'm angry. Why?Of course, because of Brian. This is insane, my heart becomes even more restless if I stare at him for too long. Especially now, he's swimming with Ashley. It's clearly jealousy, I don't deny it.If only Jeremy hadn't come up with this crazy idea for us, maybe the four of us would be playing video games right now.How could he suggest swimming? It's like a breath of fresh air for Ashley, who has been eyeing the opportunity to be alone with Brian.I'm sick of seeing her staring at Brian hungrily all this time. Does she think I don't understand her tactic of pretending to have leg cramps?"Darling, why don't you want to swim? Aren't you jealous of the closeness between the two of them? I don't want to swim alone and join them!" Theressa whined again. But I ignored her this time. I was comfortable with my sunglasses, and I wasn't interested in looking at her. I didn't want my annoyed glare to be seen by Theressa or Brian."Look, the weather is hot,
Brian's POVDisgusting. One word that could describe Theressa's behavior. Why was she so wild? I regretted joining their party. How could I have ended up in the middle of this chaos? My heart burned as I watched this person passionately making out with her lover. I shouldn't have had to do this, but the heart couldn't lie. I really wanted to grip Theressa's throat and suck her blood so she couldn't engage in such wild behavior with Dylan anymore."Brian, aren't you interested in making out with Ashley? She's been eyeing you so lustfully!" Sam quipped with a laugh.I just gave a crooked smile while continuing to chop parsley. Ah, you should know that even though I'm a peculiar vampire, I'm quite skilled at cooking, especially human food like the one they all consume. In Romania, we only eat human food during meetings or feasts with humans. Otherwise, we consume raw meat or blood."Don't listen to them, Brian. I'm not that wild!" Ashley protested."Even if you are, it's your business, A
Dylan's POVWe stopped by the convenience store before heading to my house. Throughout the journey, I struggled to contain my nature. Usually, I would laugh heartily with my friends, but Brian's presence had completely changed everything. At times, I couldn't help but steal glances at him. I felt like a teenager experiencing love for the first time."Honey, do you want this?" Theressa came up to me and showed me a red box of condoms. I swallowed hard and gave her a smile, "Do you really want me to make you scream using this? Isn't it useless?""But it's spiral-shaped; you can go wild with it!" Theressa exclaimed sensually, her hand caressing my lower area playfully.Yes, although I was aware of my attraction to Brian, I couldn't easily let go of Theressa. Sometimes her wild behavior got me addicted."Stop it, Theressa! No, don't do it!" I exclaimed, pushing her hand away."Ahem!"Suddenly, from behind me, Brian cleared his throat as he passed by. I was sure he did it on purpose after
Brian's POVI'm worried. This is crazy, because Jeremy asked me to sit next to Dylan. Nature appears to be working hard to make me happy. I tried to remain calm and cool.Nothing happened between us, we were silent, while Sam and Jeremy were laughing in the back because they were talking about beautiful girls. If I hadn't labeled myself as cold, Dylan and I could have talked a lot more."I hope you've forgiven me for inadvertently bumping into you two days ago."Dylan abruptly opened to chit chat. I am overjoyed! But I have to maintain my image."Forget it, I don't remember it," I said coldly. To be honest, I'm afraid our conversation will die again. I'm sure finding a suitable chat for a cold person like me will be difficult."Damn! You can't respond and provide an interesting topic of discussion at the same time. It's pointless because you're handsome but as cold as an iceberg! Women will struggle to keep up with you!"I smiled crookedly, pleased to hear Dylan continue the conversa
Dylan's POVThose green eyes were back. This time, the feeling intensified as I heard that he accepted our invitation to party at my house. My heart was simultaneously joyful and annoyed.Of course, I was happy because I'd get to see his cold face among us all, but I was also annoyed at the thought of him and Ashley being affectionate. When we crossed paths in the toilet earlier, I became even more convinced that I was indeed interested in him."Dylan Smith!"I snapped out of my reverie to find almost everyone in the class staring at me. I quickly stood up, wearing a confused expression, and asked, "W-what, Mrs. Lauren?""You're called to the principal's office to discuss next week's game. Everyone is already gathered there; I've called you five times!" she said firmly.I nodded and quickly left the classroom. Theressa, who was sitting in the front row, waved at me.The meeting didn't take long. In less than an hour, I was out of the principal's office. I received a message from There
