LIAM'S POV

I wanted her and I wanted Alira so badly that it hurt.

The moment she left, silence filled the house.

It wasn’t just quiet but it was haunting.

Her scent still lingered in the air, soft and warm, like vanilla mixed with danger.

That kiss wasn’t planned.

It wasn’t supposed to happen but when her eyes looked into mine, it was full of unspoken words and I lost control.

CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN "Then take me Liam.” I whispered softly as Liam took a deep sharp breath in.I could see the desire in his eyes and I knew that resisting me was going to be nearly impossible at that point. He crashed his lips back to me and kissed me roughly. It was a fast and needy kiss and it felt like the little string of self control he had was suddenly snapped. As he sucked on my bottom lip and squeezed my butt, I moaned out unconsciously.Liam's mouth suddenly left my lips as he kissed and sucked my neck softly which I was pretty sure was going to leave a hickey.“Liam." I moaned out softly.A very sharp and loud ringing tone snapped Liam and I back to reality. We tried to ignore as he continued assaulting my neck with kisses but the ringing just wouldn't stop.Liam sighed deeply as he detached his lips from my neck while we searched around for the ringing phone. Apparently, it was Liam's. “What??" He asked as he picked up the phone in annoyance. I could tell almost imm

ALIRA'S POV “I have to go somewhere for a while and I might not be back till tomorrow...will you be okay here alone??” I asked Iris."Girl, I've been alone in this house since I came here…you have been all over the place.” Iris said with a smile.I knew that behind that smile was someone who wasn't pleased with what was going on because she came to spend time with me and I wasn't giving her my attention."I promise that after tomorrow, I will spend as much time with you as possible.. I will even be your own personal leech if you want me to.” I said as we both burst into laughter."Go do your thing girl” Iris said."Thank you mama.” I responded as I gave her a soft peck on her cheeks and walked into my room changing my clothes.I was going to Liam's and I knew I had a plan for going there but it wouldn't be complete if I didn't wear a sexy dress and so I ransacked my closet until I found the perfect dress. The dress wasn't too flashy or too revealing but it clearly spelled out “notice

ALIRA'S POV "Alira, we need to talk!!” I sighed deeply as I rolled my eyes."We have nothing to talk about mother….why are you even here??" “I came to talk about what happened a while ago!!! You had no right to…”"Had no right to do what??? Barge in on your screwing Dad's best friend and business colleague??? How shameless can you be??”"Wait what???” Iris asked as I turned around and saw her mouth hanging open in shock."This is a private conversation…fuck off." My mother said.“Don't speak to my guest in that manner!!! Remember that you are in my house and so don't cross your boundaries!!" “But you crossed mine when you entered my house uninvited!!!" My mother screamed out."I'll be in the room Alira..if you need backup, just scream my name.” Iris said with a wink as she left."What exactly are you angry about??? Because I don't seem to understand it…are you angry with the fact that I caught you red handed being intimate at your old age or the fact that the person you were intim

ALIRA'S POV "You need to hide, now!!” Liam bit out."Hide where?? I am not hiding anywhere.” I said."Alira, don't be stubborn, hide somewhere!! Even if it's the closest, just do it!!”“But why do I have to hide?? It's not like I did anything wrong??" I said with a smirk as I was obviously enjoying the drama.“Alira??!!" “Fine, I'll hide in the closet or I could just put on clothes and pretend I came here for urgent work." I said.“Betsy will never believe that shit…she can go overboard just by the slightest of things.” “Oh so you know that about her and yet you still choose to be with her and you are even planning on spending the rest of your life with that??" “Babe!!! Open the door!!!" Betsy yelled as Liam flinched.I shook my head as I went to the closet and hid them and luckily the closet was a wide space. After Liam walked out of the room, I used the opportunity to walk around Liam's closet and I couldn't help but admire how organized he was.His clothes were nearly arranged

ALIRA'S POV “You are awake." A voice said as I snapped my head towards the door.“Liam??" “Were you expecting to see someone else??" He asked.“What am I…I mean how did I get here??" “You don't remember??" He asked.Usually whenever a guy asks a girl if she doesn't remember what had happened between them the previous day, it only meant that something had happened.I quickly checked inside the sheets I was using to cover myself and found out I was half naked.“Did we??" I asked as I scratched the back of my head awkwardly.“If you are trying to ask if we had sex, then the answer is no.. we didn't." Liam said as he handed me a cup.“What's this??" I asked as I sniffed the content of the cup."Drink it, it will help with your hangover and when you are done, get dressed and leave.” Liam said as he was about to walk away.“Liam, wait!!" “Do you need something??" He asked as he halted his movement and turned around.“What happened?? How did I end up here??" I asked.Liam gazed intensely
