Kaelen's POV

The side of my lips curved up. “Scared?” Dean asked mockingly.

“Why wouldn't she? She thought a little trick could win us over,” one of the soldiers mocked and every one chorused a laugh.

I folded my fists by my side, reigning on my restraints as much as I could. “Who do you think you are now, Kaelen?” Dean asked, his tone telling me something.

“You know who I am,” I said, locking eyes with him.

Kaelen’s POVI had no plan…I could not admit that, could I? “You’ll know when the time comes,” I said, already heading for the door. The quicker I got out of here, the better.“Well, then. I’ll be patient.” I caught Riven’s voice as I shut the door behind me. I heaved a sigh of relief once I was out of sight. I stared at the empty hallway. Alone, I couldn’t ignore the hollow feeling in my chest.“Don’t get distracted, Kaelen,” I muttered. After one last look at the door behind me, I walked off. I sat on my bed, locked on nothingness. My gaze was fixed on the wall but I did not register it. I was letting Cassien get in my head.He was messing with me. I laughed, shaking my head. “They didn’t trust you, Kaelen, get a hang of yourself,” I scolded. My wolf growled in disapproval in my ears. You know, if I missed something about having my wolf exhausted, that was the silence it brought. She

Kaelen’s POV“I don't… I don't know what you are talking about.”Cassien watched my expression. He didn't hide it. The pressure of his gaze was like a tornado, trying to unmask me. I turned to the side, folding my arms.I heard him scoff. Slowly, he created distance between us, heading for the table that stood at the side. Pouring himself a glass of water, he took one last look at me then took a seat on the couch.“You keep staring at me, what's that for? Some tactic?” I asked.I spotted a small smile before he brought the glass to his lips. “It could be but I'm only giving you time to tell me what truly is going on,” he said.“Nothing is. And even if there is, why would I tell you?”I was pushing it but I needed some way to channel my anxiety. “So you are saying there is something,” he said.I gave him no response. He nodded with a sigh, dropping the glas

Kaelen’s POVI took a staggered step forward, gaze roaming George’s kneeling figure. Bound by his feet and wrists with chains, he raised his head. He looked nothing like the person he was a couple of days ago.Cuts, bruises, scattered all over his body. His clothes torn, barely covering him up. “Let him go.” I stared at the guards who looked past me.I spun around to Cassien. He leaned on his desk, arms crossed. “What would it take to let him go?”“You’re ready to bet on anything to let him go?” he said, his tone flat.I glanced over my shoulder at George. His skin was dry, his figure t

Kaelen’s POVEight years old…“I don’t want that, Father.” My face scrunched up in disgust. It was my second rejection in an hour yet my father retained his smile.“Alright, baby. I’ll get you something else.”We were at the camping grounds. There was no way he would get any of the lavish meals I was used to but he didn’t stop trying. At the fifth go, he watched me intently.“Do you like it, baby?”I took a sip hesitantly then beamed with a bright smile. “I do.”“If you don’t like it, you can tell me. I can get you something else.”I stared at his exhaustion streaked face. Father did the work himself. He refused anyone from helping him get my meals and even after being picky, he didn’t scold me.—---------Twelve Years Old&

  • THEIR UNMATED WARRIOR LUNA    Chapter 68

Kaelen’s POVThe cold steel of a blade hissed through the air, coming straight for my blind spot. I didn't think. I pivoted sharply on my heel, dropping low to scoop up my spear. With a swift, powerful twist of my wrists, I smacked the oncoming sword to the side, sending a jarring vibration up my arms."You're insane," I snapped, glaring at him through the sheets of rain.Sterling didn't even flinch. A dark, reckless amusement played at the corners of his mouth. "Insane or not, we will fight today."The rain came down even heavier. The downpour plastered my hair to my face and blurred my vision. The sheer audacity of his ambush cut through my exhaustion, turning into pure, unadulterated annoyance.Irritation flared hot in my chest, burning away any remaining hesitation. With a snarl, I went for him.Sterling had no weapon of his own right now, but he was infuriatingly agile. He managed to evade my fierce spear thrusts with dizzying, fl

Kaelen’s POVA couple of days later and I still could not get a hold of any of The Four. They were avoiding me, that much was evident, which only meant I had to figure out something. Sterling kept postponing the meeting, which delayed my plan.“Is he here?” I asked Hazel. She nodded with a hum. I should have waited for him but I had already waited days, I wasn’t doing that anymore. I walked out of my room, half racing. “Where?” I asked.“Training ground,” she said.“I’ll meet him alone,” I told her and Eric who silently followed.I got to the training ground and found Sterling speaking with Lenal. He had a troubled expression, as he spoke. I couldn’t hear what they were saying. It almost seemed like they were whispering.Sterling glanced down at the wooden box he held, his frown worsening. I walked over. “What’s the matter?” I asked. Both men turned in my direction. Sterling glanced at Lenal before a maid came over and guided him into the building. He didn’t bother looking at me again

Kaelen's POVThe walk back to the car would be unfavourable to us. From their footsteps, they were ready for an ambush on that path. Corvina must have set this up. I wasn't sure why. There was only one place we could try to evade them. It was dangerous, but they were not as much over there. “Go!” I

Kaelen's POVBy noon the next day, the papers had arrived and were sent to Merrick. I waited for his reaction, but I got nothing. Two hours in and Corvina barged and threw the divorce papers at me.“Signed,” she said with a smug look.Hazel picked it up and went through before giving me a small nod.

Kaelen's POVMy chest tightened, my breath grew louder, raspy and forced, but my legs kept going. Sweat dripped down my face, blocking my sight. I swiped it off with the back of my palm without stopping.I knew what was coming. I could sense it. My hairs stood. My heart raced. My blood pumping. My e
