HUFF AND PUFF

GABBY
I waited for about twenty minutes before I finally had the strength to stand up on my wobbly legs. After Santi whispered those words to me, I felt a gush of terror build inside of me, that I have never felt in my entire life. Is that even a threat? But for what? I don’t even have any idea what he was talking about. And so, I don’t think it’s necessary for him to do that if his secret isn’t even that important.
Or am I just hallucinating his voice earlier? Because I am definitely sure that I was careful when I peeked in their room, he didn’t see me, I was careful in myself not to make a sound. I even heard him say that maybe I was the one he heard knocking on Zack's door. So how could he say those words to me?

THE CAPTIVES May 19, 2021 MADDY I felt a damp cloth touch my skin, jolting and awakening my senses, but I couldn't open my eyes. My head is ringing and my back is aching. BACKFIRE May 19, 2021 MADDY The entire room is clean and organized, and it is properly cared for, much like the entire cabin; it truly feels like a normal household. But the weight of being here is heavy, especially because these young shattered females surround me. And I'm starting to feel like one of them. TRUE PERSONAS May 19, 2021 MADDY 10 PM "W-Why are you doing this?" I asked in a cracked voice. I was in a state of disarray. Debbie laughed as if she was entertained to see me befuddled by her antics. I couldn't believe it had duped me. I underestimated her. She wasn't a moron for leaving the gun beside me. She knew exactly what I was thinking and just let me play her games. When she didn't respond to my pointless question, I swallowed my fear, gasping as I pulled the trigger once more, twice, three times, but nothing came out of the gun. I was beginning to panic, I cried till I was completely exhausted and crashed on the floor. Throughout my cries, she continued laughing and telling me how gullible I was.

DISDAIN [PART ONE] May 19, 2021 GABBY Finn unlocked the door of his car and jumped out with an umbrella in one hand before I could even fight or object to his idiotic decision. I sighed in defeat and simply followed him outside. But the moment we stepped outside, Santi and his companions opened the front door. They were all having a good time until their gazes met ours, and they came to a halt. I felt a rush of anxiousness from his looks, causing me to jitter uncontrollably. THE CONTINUATON… "I'm not going home tonight," Zack said. He's seated next to Finn on the sofa, and I'm standing behind them because my clothes are soaked from the rain. While Santi sits in grandma's chair in front of us. His left leg is bouncing on the floor as he raises one eyebrow at us. "I just want to stay for a few more days." Zack continued with a deadpan expression on his face. He seemed to be still enraged at his grandfather. "Why? You don't want to be here. It doesn't sound like you at all." Santi said, his brow furrowed even further. His voice was still tinged with irritation. "I never said I didn't like, or that I didn't want to be here; it's just that I don't like the sight of the lake." He replied bluntly.

NO ESCAPE May 20, 2021 MADDY 1 AM The minute his face became more visible in my vision, I was engulfed by a cold wave. He has a big, malicious grin engraved on his lips that makes my skin crawl with contempt. When he noticed I was awake, he blinked his eyes together and grinned even more, as if he was overjoyed at the simple fact of my being in front of his eyes. My chest puffed up and down involuntarily as I felt the weight of his breath on my cheeks and chin. He has a strong odor of alcohol on him, which makes my stomach turn. I tried to scream, but no sound came out of my mouth until I discovered they had put a gag on me. I could also feel the ropes around my wrists and feet. LOSS OF HOPE May 20, 2021 MADDY 3 AM Too much chill in my body jolted me awake. It astounds me how Santi's hell can still send a raw chill down my spine despite his cruelty. My body is sore from what he did to me, especially in my lower half. Despite this, a wave of relief washed over me as I realized I had passed out when he was staining me with his dirt. I'm not sure entirely sure if I can handle it if I witness what he's done to me. "Don’t move; you have a burning fever." I gasped freely when Julius took off my gag. I squinted at him in disbelief, but before I could say anything, he put his index finger on my lips and said, "Shh, he's still here." He muttered and gazed at his back. REVELATION May 20, 2021 MADDY When Julius said that, I almost bit my tongue. Instead of answering any of my questions, he suddenly stood up and headed into the kitchen sink, as if he were trying to get away from me. He didn't even bother to look at me or answer any of the questions that I hurled at him. He was completely uninterested. Then, when I grew tired of talking, he just sat back and pursed his lips together. The two girls were sleeping deeply in their shared bed. They seemed so exhausted from crying. When I’m looking at them, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking that being ended up here could be a blessing in disguise to these poor little girls. Because if I’m not here, Santi will probably take an interest in them. Maybe this is the reason I’m here.
