Chapter 16 : THE HONEYMOON PART 1

Dylan’s face contorted into a deep frown, his brows furrowing with frustration. I could see the tension building in his expression, but I couldn’t quite decipher if it was anger or disappointment. Regardless, it was evident that he was upset.

“I’m so sorry, Daisy. I should have asked for your permission first. I didn’t know you were feeling uncomfortable,” he sighed, the weight of his words hanging in the air.

“No, no, Dylan, I’m sorry too. I backed off, and I don’t even know why. I’m just not ready for it yet,” I replied, my voice tinged with regret.

Insecurity washed over me, and I instinctively crossed my arms, shielding my vulnerable upper body. I felt lost in that moment, realizing that if I had gone through with it with Dylan, it would have made seeking forgiveness from Julian even more difficult.
