ZYRA.

After leaving the hall, I didn’t feel like going home so I drove to a bar nearby, to treat myself. I mean, it wasn’t easy being in a meeting for approximately two hours without saying anything. While waiting for the bartender I noticed a blonde on my right, she looked so familiar and it clicked, she was the blonde from the meeting. She was actually very pretty up close. Come to think of it, I wasn’t the only one that left the meeting.

“Having a bad day, I see.” The bartender asked handing me my drink. He wasn’t bad but no, no, no, I’d encountered enough disappointments for the day.

“None of your business boy.” I said finishing my drink at once and leaving. Disappointment number fifty-two, day finally ruined completely. I went outside and got to my car about to unlock it when the blonde from earlier waves at me from the opposite direction and I stop. She just happened to be everywhere tonight.

“Nice car.” She joked and I laughed.

“Bitch, you’re literally in a G-wagon.” Like hello!!

“And you’re in a Mercedes Maybach, we’re literal Goddesses.” We both laughed from our cars. This was the first time a stranger other than a disappointment, and little girls saying they wanted to be like me in the future, were complimenting me. It felt nice.

“My name’s Rynnelle if you were wondering.” She giggled.

“Zyra.” Of course, I was wondering who this diva with a G-wagon was. I loved friendly girls, that was why I never classified women as disappointments. You’d always see one to make you smile.

“I like you Zyra, we should meet up some other time and catch up, so I’ll see you on Friday at Deans.” She threw a paper at me and blew some kisses. I picked up the paper, and it was her number. I looked at her smiling, she smiled back, waved goodbye at me, and drove off. I guess I’m going to Deans on Friday.

ARDYN.

I was outside for almost thirty minutes, and I hadn’t seen a glance of this woman. I wasn’t one to chase, but this one just had me intrigued. No one had ever walked out on me, especially not at a meeting with hundreds of people. I was disappointed but not surprised, so I decided to head home. My cousin Zaylen had been on my neck about a project we needed to work on, so why not and I didn’t know what she looked like, so what exactly did I want to see by coming outside.

“You look stressed bro, ladies?” Zaylen asked laughing the moment I got inside.

“Unfortunately, yes.” Zay knew how badly my day could be ruined by the opposite gender. He also understood how annoying I found them to be, but this time, I didn’t have any logical reason why I was stressed. I couldn’t say it was because I didn’t see her; that was unlike me, and he wouldn’t believe it anyway.

“Care to share?” He asked handing me a drink.

“It’s nothing serious, just me wondering why I’m still attracted to them after today’s meeting.” We laughed. He always got the joke.

“Crazy stuff. Now let’s push the women talk aside and talk business.”

“Hit me.”

“This project is going to be massive if we just get it right one time. We’d need a very good real estate mogul, and I’ve done my research and I know just who to call.” He stated. He seemed very excited about this project; this could finally be the one. The one that doesn’t just give us more recognition, but the one that puts us on the map.

“Seems like you’ve got everything under control?” I looked at him taking a sip from my drink.

“Not really, because I don’t think you’ll be willing to work with this person fully-”

“Why?”

“Because we haven’t worked with them before and- it’s a woman.” I froze.

I loved that she was bilingual for the most part, I loved that she was mixed, I loved that she was staying at my place, it just happened. I don’t know if my house would ever be the same without her. I just loved Zee.I got to the Empire’s building and was met by the most disapproving stares I had ever gotten in my life. I was known for putting on certain clothes that could cause such, but today, I was completely covered. I was in a white suit; decided last minute to match with Zee. Was it m
