When the words rolled out of the king's lips, I jumped in joy as I rushed down the rest of the hallway. I was so happy to hear that she was finally out of the dungeon. For a second, I thought that she wouldn't get out with the way he acted strict at the party. But now that I have heard about her getting out of the dungeon, it piqued my interest even more. I ran down the rest of the hallway till I got to the carved hallway leading directly into his chambers.

I kept running til I got to the front of it and stopped. The weight of the gaze of the guards standing outside was heavy on my back and I had to pause and wait a second longer to ease off the heavy wave of tension in the air.

I turned to one of the guards who just wouldn't take his eyes off of me.

“I am here to check out some documents that the alpha forgot. Nothing more.”

I knew I didn't need to spell out my reason for coming to the chambers but I just had to so that none of them would feel suspicious. I reached for the hand
