"Wake up and get to work!"There was a loud knock on the door, they were the soldiers who had come to wake us so that we could go to work on building sites.

This time we overslept. Monalisa and I woke up immediately and got dressed, we didn't have time to take a bath. So we got out of the house with Grandpa and joined our fellow slaves.

"Are you okay ladies? I'm sorry that I didn't wake you up early in the morning to get prepared for the day."I heard Grandpa's voice in my head and I turned my head towards him and smiled.

"It's not your fault, Grandpa. It's our fault too because we didn't wake up on our own."I told him and he nodded his head at my words.

"How are we supposed to get through the day without taking a bath and breakfast?"Monalisa grumbled.
