Chapter 2

Oliver's POV

Damn.

That girl's face keeps haunting me. Her gaze, the way she begged me not to kill her, it's like a powerful spell that has trapped my mind.

This is the first time I did not kill a human that I bought at the bar. I need blood; my body has been in so much pain from not feeding for the past two days.

It's such a hassle to go back and buy another girl. Should I try to feed on Amy again?

Yeah, that is the right choice.

I then walked back to Amy's room. Faint screams could be heard from the foolish humans in the backyard; all of my members seemed to be feasting on fresh blood. I might have joined them if I weren't an immortal vampire.

In times like this, I can only blame my ancestors for making a rule for us to only feed on girls. It isn't very pleasant.

I broke into Amy's room; she was still in the corner, huddled in the same position I had left her earlier. Her sobbing could still be heard.

"You've been crying for two hours; you still haven't stopped?"

I locked the door again; Amy slowly lifted her head and suddenly prostrated towards me.

"Please,  I’m begging you! Don't kill me!"

Her voice and body were trembling fiercely. Once again, my desire to feed on her blood disappeared. I should investigate her powers. Is she a descendant of a witch?

"You are full of deceit, admit it are you a witch?"

"No! No! I don't understand what you're saying, I'm just a girl who was framed by my father and sold to you! I beg you, I won't do anything stupid or anything that makes you angry, please, just don't kill me."

It seemed that she was not a witch after all. Besides, I never knew there was such a whiny witch.

"No one wants to kill you. Stop crying."

I pulled her up. The smell of blood was so intense I wanted to feed on her. Something that I need to do just suck her blood and I've never felt this weak before.

"From now on, you're a slave in this castle. You have to clean and serve all the members of this castle. Never dare to try to escape; if you attempt to run away even once, you'll see the consequences, Amy. Understood?"

Her swollen eyes hypnotized me; I couldn't resist looking at them for too long. I have to admit, she is beautiful, especially her sensual lips. If there wasn't a barrier between humans and vampires, I might have made her kneel before me on the bed tonight.

"I—I understand..."

"Great. I'm Oliver. Just go to sleep; I want you to prepare breakfast for all my members tomorrow morning. By six o'clock, everything should be ready. If not, be prepared to see your neck flooded with blood."

Amy's eyes widened, and her tears flowed again when I said that. I chose to leave immediately; my urge to kill her increased when I was near her. This torments me; why do I feel pity and find it difficult to kill her?
