Chapter 2

That Night

That night, back at the hotel, the three brothers were still looking for their younger brother when he stumbled down the hall.

Liam Michael Yung, Ethan Akio Yung, Noah Kali Yung, and Xavier Theo Yung... the four quadruplets born to the Yung family. Shiho Eiko Yung was their father and Hana Mei (Aki) Yung their mother. Shiho was the fifth generation of the underground mafia warlords. His ancestors, along with Hana’s, were among the first to start the organization.

Now Shiho ran the entire organization and was the richest of the families. No one was more feared than him. Hana was from an arranged marriage by her parents. One year later, she gave birth to quadruplets. She had believed throughout her pregnancy that she was having triplets.

It was not until the last child was born that their brother came out hanging onto him, so she gave birth to four sons. The family believed there was a reason for this, so they hid his birth and identity. No outsider had known he existed.

Because the boys were identical twins, it was hard to tell them apart. Xavier was born with a soft grey film over his face. The doctors could not explain why, and it was not until the baby was a week old that his face became normal.

A few months later, they realized how gifted all their children were... especially the youngest, Xavier. Each son had a birthmark from their father that looked like a red arrow on the back of their neck, except Xavier. For some reason, his birthmark was in the front just below his Adam’s apple, which was why he chose to wear turtlenecks. His favorite color was black.

Every once in a while, each of the boys would change places so they could learn the business they were in. By the time the boys were 12 years old, each of them knew how to run every business they owned by heart. Most people knew about the three children, but no one had ever seen the last son.

The eldest son, Liam, ran the stock exchange business. He also owned several martial arts schools. He believed it was mandatory for everyone in their business to know how to defend themselves and their families. Every male from the age of five took classes in his school.

He also had classes for women. The girls started at the age of six, those were just for the ones in the mafia. He also had a few schools in and around the countryside, which he had teachers for. They never saw him.

Every male and female started at the age of seven in those schools. It was a rare exception when any of his teachers found a student with a gift worthy of being included in the mafia clan. When that happened, he would have one of his top men evaluate them, and if they passed, he brought that person aboard and they became family. Within the last six to nine years, there had only been six who qualified.

Ethan ran the movie industry. He also did a lot of modeling and production alongside acting. He was well-known all over the world; men and women adored him. Not only was he gorgeous, but he was well-spoken, regal, and kind.

That was the persona he displayed in public. The side of him they didn’t know... he was a ruthless killer.

Noah ran the oil fields along with the underground mafia business with his father and Xavier. Xavier also ran his own private technology business. He was one of the most brilliant hackers in the world.

Each of the boys was born a genius, their IQs ranging from 195 to 205. The boys were extremely fit because they had been in martial arts since the age of three. By the age of 12, they stood 5’10 and weighed 150 pounds, all muscle, with green eyes and fire-red hair just like their father and uncles.

There were so many girls chasing after them that their parents placed bodyguards around them.

They each attended a gifted private school for boys... not only to keep the girls at bay but also for social awareness. Xavier, however, had a private tutor. By the time they were 15, there was nothing else anybody could teach them.

Each of them already knew over 18 languages and were still learning. Their father took them on travels around the world to introduce them to other cultures, which was the only time the four brothers were together.

Even then, he had them wear face masks to disguise themselves.

Xavier could hear a language once and become fluent in it.

Liam could read your mind; he was also a child math prodigy. Numbers flowed out of him like rain falling from the sky. He also loved science and world economics. His dream was to build his own island where he could escape from the bustling city. He had finally found the perfect island and was having the blueprints designed by his brother Noah.

Ethan was able to make you believe anything he said. He was also a music and art prodigy. He wrote many songs that became number one hits overnight. He also loved writing poetry in calligraphy, and it was amazing.

He could sing or play any type of instrument, which was why people knew him everywhere in the world.

Noah could move things with his mind. Even though he loved magic, the skill he dived into was electrical and construction work. Being a child prodigy, this assignment was given to him by his father and uncles because he could make things look as if they were something they were not. So, he was placed in charge of the design for the underground tunnels and had also designed the entire underground community for the mafia families.

There were facilities that the world knew nothing about. All the generations of the Yung lineage inherited abilities that were supernatural. But Xavier was extraordinary.

The night at the hotel, the brothers had taken him to celebrate their 21st birthday. Stella had heard about it, which was why she and her older brother Patton (by another man) wanted to destroy Vangeline’s reputation. They believed she would definitely be thrown out by their father.

Even though Vangeline had an older brother, he was living overseas, so there wouldn’t be anyone to protect her. Stella’s mother and brother had already taken care of Vangeline and her brother Donovan’s mother years ago, after she drugged Angelica’s husband.

A few months later, she made him believe she was pregnant by him. She knew he would be responsible, which was why she had chosen to seduce him. He had awakened with her in his bed; both were completely naked, so of course he believed he had taken advantage of her.

Back then, he was on the rise and entertained many clients, and of course there were always drinks involved. Just before Stella was born, he was at the top, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to make sure she was right there with him.

Once Stella was born, he married her... not out of love, but out of responsibility. She knew that, but it didn’t matter to her because she just wanted what he had, and she knew she had it and was planning on keeping it.

It was two years after Vangeline’s mother was hit by a drunk driver. After the mourning period was completed, he was true to his word and married her.

Even though his heart still belonged to Angelica... who was beautiful, intelligent, and extremely sophisticated.. he never forgot her. She had long hazel hair, soft grey eyes, delicate features, and a kind gaze. They had known one another since grade school. He had always promised to marry her, give her the best life, and love her forever.

There was no one in the world who could take her place, and he still felt that way even after she passed away. Each time he looked at his two children by her, he always felt like he was looking at her, which was why they were so special to him.

What Wanda failed to realize was that he had already signed over his major assets to his two children, and would be letting her know that all she would receive was 10% of personal property he had purchased for them.

He knew she didn’t care about him or his other children. He also knew Stella, who looked just like her mother, was cunning and cruel like her brother and mother. He knew that if something happened to him, she wouldn’t give his children anything. So for the time being, he just played along with her.

He would hand over the company to his older children once they were married and had given him an heir. This way, the business would pass down to their children before reaching Stella, if she decided to have children.

When he heard that Vangeline had become pregnant, he was happy but very disappointed with the way it had happened.

Little did Wanda and Stella know, he had them both followed for years and knew exactly what they were up to. He just didn’t know she would be so spiteful as to allow her sister to be taken advantage of.

Even for him, that was going too far.

When he found out, there was nothing he could do. The damage was already done.

He had hoped it would be a little boy. When Stella had exposed Vangeline, he was shocked, embarrassed, and disappointed yet in the depths of his heart, he was happy because of who it was that had taken advantage of his daughter.

This family was the number one richest family in their entire country, along with being one of the most ruthless.

He knew that his daughter would be well protected when she found out who he truly was. Yet he decided to stay out of it and let everything happen by fate. He would reach out and protect his daughter if she was ever in real danger.

Being a businessman, he also understood what would happen if any of those families found out they were being used or double-crossed. Because of their scheming hearts, he had prepared himself for the death of the three of them.

He also knew it was going to be hard on him because Stella was his baby girl. Yes, she had decided to walk in the footsteps of her mother, and when the rubber hit the road, she would be in the bull’s-eye of the devil himself and he knew there would be nothing he could do.

There were many times when he had talked to her about the decisions she had been making and other things she had done, yet it had always fallen on deaf ears.

This was the main reason he made the decision he made.
