LOGINChapter 5
My Granddaughter
Stella went to the office of Shiho Eiko Yung (the mafia king), only she had no idea how powerful this man was. She just knew that they were one of the richest families in the country.
The more Stella looked at the baby, the more she hated her. She could see so much of Vangeline in her even though she was less than a month old. The only difference was the child had red hair and those green eyes, which was why she knew that Mr. Yung would have no problem accepting the child, he too had red hair and those sharp green eyes. She guessed it must be from the family genes.
Stella wasn’t as smart as Vangeline and Donovan. Even though she could be brilliant, she just never applied herself... she would rather be like her mother and scheme her way through life, taking from others and destroying their lives. It was enough that they already had everything she could possibly need, but their greed had overcome them.
She couldn’t wait to use the baby to capture one of those Yung men. She would use the child as a means of becoming richer and also be protected from anyone that would try to offend her, her mother, or her brother... especially Vangeline. But what she had not taken into consideration was that the Yungs were ahead of her, and they also had a plan waiting just for her.
Ms. Kathy Walkers knocked on her boss’s door before entering. Shiho looked up from his desk.
“What can I do for you, Ms. Walker?”
She cleared her throat as she always did before speaking to him.
“Sir, there is a young lady at the front desk downstairs saying she wants to bring your granddaughter up to see you, sir.”
Shiho looked at her with a puzzled expression. “What the hell are you talking about, granddaughter?” he shouted in disbelief.
“Yes, sir. She said that your son Ethan is the father, and she can’t continue to keep her from her father. Said a child needs to have both parents.”
Shiho rose from his seat. After straightening his suit coat, he took a deep breath. “Send her in.”
“Yes, sir.” She turned and walked out the door.
He sat on the edge of his desk with both hands folded across his chest. “I know this better not be some kind of joke or I will kill this woman.”
Stella walked in with a wide smile as if she had already succeeded with her plan. “Hello, Mr. Yung, my name is Stella Lincoln,” she said as she walked toward him with the baby in her arms.
Shiho didn’t move; he just stood there watching this woman and child heading toward him. At that moment, his two bodyguards entered the room and stopped her before she got too close.
“What is this all about, miss?” he asked.
She stood a few feet away from him, still smiling. She knew he wouldn’t do anything once he saw the child. “Sir, like I told your secretary, I’m the mother of your grandchild.”
Taking in a deep breath, he told her to have a seat. “How do you know that this child belongs in my family?”
Smiling briefly, she said, “Why don’t you take a look for yourself, and you tell me.”
Shiho looked at his bodyguards and nodded for one of them to bring the child over to him. As soon as they handed the child to him, he looked to see if the child looked like his son. Once the child was uncovered, he could not deny that the baby indeed looked like his son.
Then he checked to see if the child was bearing the birthmark. To his surprise, there it was — the family mark. His eyes popped wide open. He turned to the bodyguard and told him to do a paternity test at once.
“Yes, sir,” Dillion replied, taking a strand of hair from the child, and his boss gave him his. After placing them in his handkerchief, he hurried out toward the hospital.
Once he had left, Shiho turned his attention to Stella. “Linda, please get Miss Stella some water or tea — whichever she prefers.”
“Yes, sir.” She walked over to his tea station. “Ms. Stella, which would you prefer?”
Still smiling, she looked at him and then toward Linda. “Tea would be fine, thank you.”
Shiho, at that moment, felt something was off about this woman. He had no idea why it bothered him every time he looked at her. But if this was his granddaughter, he would treat her right.
“So, Stella, tell me again why you are bringing the baby to me and not calling Ethan. After all, he is the father, right?”
Stella looked down and then took a deep breath. “Well, sir, it’s not like we had a relationship. It just happened at his birthday party. We were both drinking and… it just happened. That’s not something I am proud of, nor did I think I would get pregnant my first time. I needed to wait until the child was born before saying anything. I understand how powerful your family is.”
Now looking away slyly, he asked, “Well, Ms. Stella, you are from the Lincoln family, correct?”
“Yes, sir, I am.”
“Then your father is quite wealthy. How does he feel about this?”
Stella felt a bit nervous because she told her father the baby had died. “Well, he will not have anything to do with the child because of how the child was conceived.” She hoped he wouldn’t keep asking her questions about her father.
“Uh, I see.” Now he knew that he had to investigate her. There was no way a man of his caliber would dismiss his bloodline. “Well, as soon as the test is completed, then I will definitely know what to do.”
He returned to his desk, still holding the little girl in his arms. She reminded him so much of his boys when they were born just, she was so beautiful. He once again looked at the mark on her chest.
One hour later, Dillion arrived with the paperwork in hand. Shiho handed the child to Linda, who gave Stella the child before taking the envelope. He opened the envelope and took out the paper, bloodline match.
His eyes were huge, and his smile told it all. She indeed belonged to his bloodline. Rising from his seat, he took Stella by the hand and bowed. “Welcome to the family. We will leave at once and take my granddaughter to meet the rest of the family.”
Stella was beaming with excitement, thinking to herself, I did it, oh my goodness, I did it. Looking down at the baby she was holding, she smirked. At least you were good for something. I will get rid of you once I am married to Ethan, uh, she whispered as she followed Mr. Yung.
Shiho was walking with long strides, so excited he couldn’t wait to get home and tell his wife about their granddaughter. “Hurry, get my car,” he shouted toward the guard standing near the entrance.
“Sir, yes, sir.” Bowing, the guard responded while hurriedly walking through the doors.
The next moment, his Bentley was at the front entrance and the driver was standing with the door open. As the three of them arrived at the car door, the driver bowed. “Morning, sir.”
Shiho nodded and helped Stella and the baby into the car, then sat next to them. Stella was so proud of the way she was being treated as if she were royalty. She had never imagined this type of luxury. She lived a luxurious life already, but for some reason, this seemed like more than she could have ever imagined.
And just think... if she had not stolen the baby, this would never have happened for her. It would all have happened for her sister, Vangeline. Thinking about it, she smirked. “I’ll never let that happen,” she said under her breath.
She didn’t realize Shiho had heard her, even though she tried to whisper, but he kept it to himself.
“So, where are we going?” his driver asked.
“Aaron, to the house,” he spoke now in his business tone.
He had always kept his business life business and his private life private. In their family, they could never take the chance of mixing the two. Even though all of his guards and employees were totally loyal, he never wanted to risk overstepping and giving anyone the wrong ideas. He would never put his family in harm’s way or bring any type of embarrassment to their name.
There were too many things in their family that needed to stay hidden, and the smallest mistake could bring their whole empire down, which was why Ethan was so upset when she used his name.
As they rode toward the house, he never once looked over at the baby... not because he didn’t want to, but because he did not want to give any questions to his driver. This woman next to him was still a stranger, even though he had confirmed that the child was his family bloodline.
Stella sat looking out the window as they drove up toward the house. The massive trees stood tall like waving palms, the beautiful landscape spread before them, and as they entered the front of the house, her jaw almost dropped.
It was huge and absolutely beautiful... the archways, the tall windows that were floor to ceiling. Then there was the garden, with the most beautiful plants. It was like going into a dream castle.
The driver stopped under the rotunda. He got out and opened the door for his boss first, then opened the door for Stella and the baby, helping her out of the car. He couldn’t help but notice the tiny face that looked so much like the young master’s. He kept his thoughts to himself.
Stella followed him. Just before he could reach the top landing, the doors swung open and the butler appeared.
“Sir, I wasn’t expecting you home so soon-” then suddenly he saw Stella holding the baby. Embarrassed, he immediately cleared his throat and moved to the side, nodding toward Stella and the child. “Ma’am,” he said and nodded.
Stella just looked at him and nodded. No matter what, she still couldn’t get rid of the hatred in her heart, and it showed each time she saw anyone she felt was beneath her.
As she turned her head and continued to follow Shiho, the butler instantly had a bad taste in his mouth toward her. The maids were lined up as he walked in.
“Lilly, this is Miss Stella. Please have my wife come here immediately.”
She nodded. “Yes, sir,” and left.
A few minutes later, Hana was heading toward him in a hurry. She could not understand why her husband would be home so early... she was thinking that he might be ill.
Chapter 31 “Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I am not leaving Mom. He might be our father, but she is our mother, and I will never leave her alone. She is the only one—besides Uncle Donavon—who has taken care of us since we were born,” said Lucy, her arms folded across her chest. The three boys looked at one another, then back at her. “Lucy is right,” Thor said. “We need to see what the relationship is going to be like with Mom and Dad.” Xavier had just returned from escorting Dylan back to the hotel suite. He was walking toward the mall entrance, heading back to the office, when he heard a soft, strong voice shout, “Daddy! Daddy! Over here!” He turned toward the sound and saw an adorable little girl in a beautiful princess dress running straight toward him. He stopped in his tracks. Tears streamed down his face—he couldn’t hold them back. As she reached him, he knelt and embraced her, lifting her into his arms. For the first time, he had the chance to hold his daughter. S
Chapter 30 Dylan’s eyes were as big as grapefruits. He stood looking at the arrow and then subconsciously touched his own chest. “That looks like the one we have, except it is much larger,” Dylan said, smiling. “So, Dad, is your hair red and your eyes green like ours?” Xavier was stunned—he had just been called “Dad.” “Yes, Dylan. When we get to the house, I will shower, and you will see your dad. These are your true uncles and your grandparents.” Dylan looked around at everyone. “Yeah, I have already established that, and after the DNA results, I was completely sure,” he said. Xavier asked, “Dylan, does your mother know you are here?” Dylan lowered his eyes. “Honestly, Dad, no. She doesn’t know. I wanted to find you so badly, and once Kate said she had the opportunity to meet you, I was sort of jealous. I do love my mom and sister, but I wanted to talk with my dad and find out if he was as intelligent as I am.” The entire room burst into laughter—except Xavier, who understo
Chapter 29 “You will see when I get there,” Liam raised his eyebrows and spoke. “Okay, Dad, we are just waiting on you.” “Got it, see you in a bit,” his father responded. Then he hung up the phone. “Hey, what’s going on? Did Dad say anything?” asked Ethan, raising his eyebrows. Liam said, “I have no idea, but it must be something important, especially since he asked for all of us to come to the office.” Noah was getting the snacks and beverages together while Xavier sat quietly, still with his face mask on. All the brothers were dressed in their designer-made three-piece suits. Each one was dashing from head to toe. As they all sat around the table, it was hard to tell one from the other. Their red hair was combed in the same way, and all of them had those beautiful green eyes—which was why so many women desired to become part of their family. The problem was, not one of them had found any of the women suitable to join. The woman who would be able to join the family had to not
Chapter 28 Tobias was able to hack the system and easily open the elevator doors, once he had arrived at the top floor Dylan went in and stood in front of the secretary’s desk, she was in shock to see this unexpected surprise. Suddenly, Shiho, secretary knocked three times on his door. “Come in. What in the world is going on?” She was lost for words. “Sir, please excuse me. There is a child out here who insisted on seeing you, and… uh, he looks just like you.” Shiho and Hana looked at one another in surprise. “What!” Shiho said. Then, before she could respond, he said, “Never mind. Send him in.” Dylan walked in with authority. He was wearing a dark blue suit, a light blue shirt, and a pinstriped tie. He even wore a pair of cufflinks with a handkerchief in his top pocket. His shoes were Stacy Adams, designed just for him, even with little tassels on them. The aura he presented became stronger with every step he took. He looked like a little businessman; he was so adorable
Chapter 27Malcom was still kneeling before her and he was speechless. After composing himself, he replied,“Uhmm, well, I must say Ms. Kate, I was not expecting that answer. For a moment, I thought I was speaking with someone much older. You are an exceptional little girl, and I must hand it to your mother for raising such a gifted and intelligent little girl.”He did not want to take a chance in losing someone like her, yet he could not seem overanxious either. Clearing his throat before going on, he asked,“Tell me, Kate, how old are you?”She smiled, she already knew she would be added to the list.“I am three and a half. I will be four in September.”Once again he smiled, then he stood up and looked over at Lara, whose eyes were as big as grapefruit. She nodded her head yes.“Well, Ms. Kate, please have your mother fill out the forms and pay the fee. We will take a credit card. Then you can head over to the table over there by the orange curtain and acquire your badge and number.
Chapter 26 Once Kate entered, the entire room turned to look at her. She was smiling as she began walking like she was on the red carpet. Her mother just stood at the door shaking her head as she watched her baby do her thing. The director of the contest looked up when the bell on the door rang alerting them of someone entering the room. The models that were selected would be able to make millions of dollars and the first-place contestant would win not only millions but a 10-year contract with the top designers in the world. Also, the male and female model would be able to keep all the latest fashions that had been model during the show, then the two of them would have private tutors. The sky would be their oyster. Suddenly, the room filled with children from the ages of 2 to 13 for the morning. That afternoon there will be another group starting from the ages 14 to 18 who would be able to get many more rewards. The male and female’s top 3 models from that group will be rewarded s
