“What are you doing?” Alex suddenly appeared in the kitchen to find Athena heating something and stirring it in a pot. The man looked interested and stepped into the kitchen, approached the stove, then frowned. "What is that?"

Athena turned and looked at Alex embarrassedly, she did not expect to be caught by Alex in the kitchen this late.

“This is vanilla beans boiled with liquid white milk.”

“For drinks? "

“Yeah.” Athena turned her gaze to the pot, the water was not yet boiling but was looking warmer. Athena had to stir it because if the water boiled and didn't stir, the foam would rise and spill out of the pot. “I usually drink it when I can't sleep.”

“You can ask the servants to make it for you.”

“No.” Athena muttered. “It's eleven o'clock in the evening, they have all rested, I don't want to trouble them.”
