I simply was not able to find the words to express how I felt; I had the impression that we had gone astray! What transpired in the past two days with me and, more importantly, with us, was a horrible experience. And when Russell told me that he had tracked down his long-lost friend, I allowed myself to entertain the possibility that things could somehow work out for the best.
But it took me completely by surprise when I saw Lucas treat Russell as though he were an omega. At that precise moment, I could only sense bad vibes coming from everywhere. And I had the distinct impression that not even Russell himself would be able to protect me or defend himself at this point, which was the first time in my life that I had ever had such an impression.
I did not engage in any form of conversation or offer any comments.
