Chapter 17

The next week, Rebecca went about her days as she usually did. She went to work, hung out with Joni and Tobin, and watched tv and fell asleep on the couch. On her way to work on Tuesday, she felt like someone was watching her, but brushed it off. By Thursday she was almost positive that she was being followed. She saw the same man in the lobby of her apartment building and the lobby at the hospital. She tried her hardest to tell herself that it was just a coincidence. That happened three days in a row.

Saturday rolled around Rebecca had a lunch date with Joni and Tobin. After they had all ordered she told them about the weird feelings she had been having.

“What if it’s Vincent?” Joni says. Rebecca wasn’t sure if she was worried or she thought it was sweet that he may be stalking her. Joni looked between her two friends who both gave her a look. “What?” she shrugged, “you barely know him. You looked hot the night of the gala. Maybe he got hooked.”
