Chapter 6: The Royal Revelation

The chiming tone of the ruined scanner faded, and the chamber became a suffocating, deathly silence.

"WARNING: HIGH-ROYAL-BLOODLINE DETECTED. ANCESTRAL-SUN-CREST MATCH FOUND."

Silas stood frozen, his eyes glued to the glowing gold screen of the device. He was white with shock and terror.

"The Sun-Crest..." Silas whispered, his voice trembling. "That's impossible. The royal Sun-Marked bloodline was eradicated fifteen years ago. Every heir was slaughtered!"

Lady Freya took a fearful step back, her blue eyes wide as she looked from the sparking device to the velvet bed drapes. "Lord Silas... if there is a surviving royal heir in this room..."

"Silence!" Silas roared, his composure snapping. He drew a wicked, silver-engraved dagger from his belt and pointed it toward the drapes. "Whoever is behind that curtain, step out! Step out now or I will have my men burn this room to ashes!"

Behind the curtain, Lyra felt her knees go weak. A broken machine had just shattered the secret she had guarded with her life for fifteen years. Her heart battered against her ribs like a trapped bird.

If she stayed hidden, Silas would order a full military strike on the room. If she stepped out, the entire Council would see her face.

"Do not move a muscle, Lyra," Caelum’s voice echoed softly in her mind through their newly formed, fragile mate link. The deep, rumbling tone of his mental voice sent a wave of warmth through her panicked chest. "Stay behind me."

Caelum stepped directly between Silas and the curtain, his towering frame blocking any line of sight. His half-shifted claws gleamed lethally in the moonlight, and the dark black aura surrounding him thickened until it looked like actual shadow clinging to his skin.

"You heard the scanner, Silas," Caelum growled, his tone cold enough to freeze blood. "You came here looking for an unregistered rogue to steal my crown. Instead, you found a royal line that outranks your entire Council."

"She is an impostor!" Silas shrieked, his arrogant composure completely unraveling. "A rogue using black-market blood magic to trick the scanner! Enforcers, attack! Kill the female and secure the Alpha!"

"NO!" Beta Marcus roared, bursting into the chamber with twenty heavily armed Obsidian Ridge loyalists. Their assault rifles and broadswords locked onto Silas’s squad instantly.

"Lower your weapons, Silas!" Marcus barked, his voice laced with Alpha authority. "You are outnumbered and standing in the King's personal quarters. Step down or be executed for treason!"

Silas looked around frantically. His five guards were already terrified, staring at Caelum’s lethal claws and Marcus’s reinforcement squad.

Lady Freya grabbed Silas’s sleeve, her voice trembling. "Lord Silas, we must retreat. If the Council finds out we attacked the Alpha in his own home without proof, we will lose our seats!"

Silas sneered, his eyes dark with murderous intent as he glared at Caelum.

"This isn't over, nephew," Silas hissed, stepping back toward the shattered doors while keeping his silver dagger raised. "I will return with the full strength of the High Council. If that female behind your curtain is truly a Sun-Marked royal, the entire werewolf world will hunt her down. She will bring nothing but fire and blood to your pack!"

"Let them come," Caelum rumbled softly, his fangs glinting in the dark. "I will paint the mountain red with their corpses."

With a final, venomous glare, Silas turned on his heel and rushed out of the chamber, his guards and Lady Freya scrambling after him.

The moment the heavy footsteps faded down the stone corridor, Beta Marcus motioned for his men to secure the hallway. He turned to Caelum, his face pale.

"Alpha... is it true?" Marcus whispered, looking toward the velvet drapes. "Did the scanner actually detect..."

"Clear the room, Marcus," Caelum ordered sharply, his voice leaving no room for debate. "Seal the mountain pass. No one enters or leaves until I give the command."

Marcus swallowed hard, bowed his head, and quickly pulled the titanium doors shut, leaving Caelum and Lyra in total privacy once again.

The room fell dead silent save for the howling wind outside the shattered windows.

Lyra slowly pushed aside the heavy velvet curtain and stepped out into the open chamber. Her lace veil had slipped slightly, revealing her delicate jawline and the burning golden glow in her eyes. Her fingers trembled against her medical coat.

Caelum turned toward the sound of her footsteps. He raised his hand and slowly pulled off the black cloth band covering his eyes.

Lyra gasped.

His eyes—normally covered—were a striking, unearthly silver, laced with veins of glowing dark energy from the poison. Even without functional sight, his gaze felt intensely focused on her face, as if his wolf could see her soul.

He walked toward her with slow, deliberate steps until he was standing inches away. He reached out, his long, warm fingers gently catching the edge of her veil and lifting it off her face.

His breath hitched.

"You..." Caelum whispered, his voice shaking with a rare, raw emotion. "Your scent... your touch... the way your blood healed my spine..."

He brought his thumb up, lightly tracing the smooth contour of her cheekbone down to her lips.

"You are the last Sun-Marked heir," Caelum rumbled softly, a mix of awe and possessive hunger darkening his voice. "The lost Princess of the Solar Court."

Lyra looked up into his silver eyes, her chest rising and falling heavily. "If Silas tells the Council, they will execute me, Caelum. My existence threatens every Alpha on the continent."

Caelum’s eyes flared with a sudden, golden fire. He leaned down, placing his large hands on either side of her neck, his thumb caressing her pulse point.

"Let them try," Caelum growled against her lips, his dominant aura wrapping around her like an unbreakable shield. "You cured my body, Lyra. Now let me be your weapon. I will burn the Council to the ground before I let anyone touch my Queen."

Before she could speak, Caelum pulled her into a scorching, possessive kiss—a kiss that sealed her fate to the Blind King forever.

The descent into the subterranean void-river felt less like falling and more like being dragged through a grinding mill of liquid cosmic noise. The violet void-plasma roared in Caelum’s ears, a corrosive acid that hissed violently against the shell of Obsidian Eclipse fire he and Lyra had woven around their bodies. Every inch of Caelum’s muscle burned with agony, his silver scars flashing with erratic, blinding light as he fought to keep their combined aura from shattering under the crushing atmospheric pressure of the earth’s root.Beside him, Lyra’s face was locked in a mask of absolute, unyielding concentration. Her fingers were locked in Caelum’s grip with vice-like strength, her white-gold solar energy intertwining with his pitch-black shadow friction. Together they ploughed through the churned dark current like a two-headed spear of pure cosmic judgement.Beneath them, in the whirling centre of the plasma river, the Genesis Core pulsed violently. Once a sphere of pure, golden-wh

The cries of the newborn sounded in the broken silence of the terrace, a clean and perfect sound in the lingering ozone and dark ocean brine and scorched quartz. Caelum cradled the infant tightly against his chest, his massive shadow-wolf form slowly receding, leaving his bare shoulders gleaming with sweat and the faint, luminescent silver scars of his past battles.Beside him, Lyra leaned back against the remaining velvet cushions, her breath coming in slow, ragged gasps. Her golden eyes were fixed entirely on the child—a baby whose left eye burned with the radiant warmth of a solar flare and whose right eye pooled with the midnight abyss of the shadow-wolf."She’s... perfect," Lyra whispered, her voice trembling with emotional exhaustion. "Caelum... look at her."Caelum's large, calloused fingers brushed the baby's soft cheek. The child didn't cry out in fear; instead, a tiny, silver-purple thread of starlight danced from her palm, wrapping around Caelum's thumb in a quiet, comfort

The two-hundred-foot wall of black, crushing water didn't advance like a natural wave; it surged with calculated, supernatural malice, propelled by the Abyssal Admiral’s dark quartz orb. The entire harbor city of Obsidian Ridge trembled as the massive tide blotted out the midday sun, casting a suffocating, midnight gloom over the lower docks.High Sovereign King Caelum Vance didn’t hesitate."Marcus!" Caelum roared, his voice cutting through the rising deafening shriek of wind and water. "Evacuate the lower wards to the upper citadel plateau! Now!"Beta Marcus didn't waste a breath asking questions. Drenched in sweat and blood from the initial breach, he slammed his fist into the communications relay, broadcasting the emergency evacuation protocol to every guard garrison across the mountain. "Move, move, move! All civilians to the upper stone tier! Seal the lower flood gates!"Above them, the colossal, golden-armored silhouette of the ancient Sun-King—the primordial patriarch of Lyra’

The void-rift did not swallow High Sovereign King Caelum Vance; he tore through its event horizon like a falling star of pure, unadulterated devastation. The air inside the interdimensional tear was thick with the suffocating stench of ozone, burnt quartz, and rotting starlight. Around him, the fabric of the high terrace bled away into a swirling vortex of dark violet lightning and jagged spatial glass. Vane’s corrupted Void-Chamber—an anchor forged from the hollowed-out skull of an ancient Leviathan—hung suspended in the middle of the rift, siphon-lines pulsing like dark, arterial veins directly toward the mountain core."You fool, Caelum!" Vane’s voice thundered from all directions at once, distorted and overlapping as three void-clones materialized out of the tempest, each wielding a replica of the starlight spear. "You leapt into my domain! Here, space is malleable, and your shadow friction is nothing but fuel for my engine!"Caelum didn't speak. His silver-gold eyes had gone enti

That morning the grand bells of the Sovereign Spire did not toll in their usual melodic resonance, but shattered the alpine silence with brutal, discordant clang that shook the frost from the high battlements. High Sovereign King Caelum Vance stepped out onto the master terrace, his massive frame instantly going rigid as the raw, chaotic static of a breached barrier prickled the hairs on his arms. The sky above Obsidian Ridge was no longer the serene rose-gold of a peaceful dawn; it was bruised a violent, sickly violet, slashed across by jagged streaks of burning crimson plasma.Far below in the valley, the eternal leylines that had hummed with steady, life-giving power for years suddenly groaned, stuttered, and spiked violently. Solar blooms withered into ash within seconds as underground shockwaves ripped through the bedrock.Queen Lyra Vance burst onto the terrace behind him, her midnight-blue velvet robe billowing in a gale-force wind that had materialized out of nowhere. Her stri

  • Tamed by the Blind Alpha King   Chapter 92: The Pact of the Obsidian Dawn

The high morning sun over Obsidian Ridge broke with an extraordinary sweep of rose-gold and deep violet, sending brilliant amber beams across the grand marble terraces of the Sovereign Spire. The great continental valley pulsed far below with a steady, powerful heartbeat. The underground leylines fed endless fields of solar blooms, glowing starlight ferns, and towering evergreen forests that reached to the horizon, fully anchored and attuned to the mountain bedrock. Where once bitter frost and isolation and bloody border skirmishes had been the hallmarks of the northern territory, a time of deep, unshakable prosperity had flourished under a single, unified crown.King Caelum Vance, the High Sovereign, stood at the edge of the master terrace, his huge, heavily muscled chest bare to the crisp morning wind. The hard planes of his torso bore the faint silver scars of a hundred forgotten battles, relics of the violent past he had conquered to forge his sovereign empire. His trademark pitc
