**Reika/Zara**

Stephan’s stare made my body feel like it was engulfed in flames.

I looked away to hide the blush that stained my cheeks and approached him.

The gown felt moulded to my skin, following every move I made.

My fingers grazed the jewels that adorned my neck, a knot sprang in my stomach as I recalled a time when I was clothed in nothing but the finest jewels every time.

A period that made me feel like I was untouchable. Unhurt. Unbothered by anything.

Until Kaid came and I made him the center of my world. I took off my jewels and took up the responsibility of leadership without holding the position and made it my entire purpose to please a man who never saw me.

I became invincible in my own kingdom.

I sniffed, blinked off the tears that blurred my sight and stepped close to Stephan who still seemed like he was in a trance.
