The ending of summer.
The beginning of Autumn.
Autumn leaves fall from the tree onto the wet slippery rock. Some of them rested on the surface of the lake beside the tree, flowing with the water, some rested on the slippery wet rocks under the shadow of the tree and some flew away with the flow of wind.
The surroundings were colder and the wind danced around the long grass, trees, mountains, and people, making them shiver and stammer within their sentences.
One after another autumn leaves fall from the tree after losing all their life. Until a slender and soft hand caught one of the dead leaves between her delicate fingers. She brought the leaf near her nose and sniffed it, it had an earthly scent. She smiled and let go of the leaf as soon as a gust of wind stroked her delicate figure. The leaf flew away with the wind and she watched it. Her long black hair swayed with the wind continuously.
A gentle smile on her face as she looked around the lake with her gentle eyes.
"Helice."
The girl standing on the rocks beneath the tree turned around once she heard someone familiar calling her. A wide smile spread on her face when she saw her three companions walking her way.
The tallest one in them was Syloson with long red hair tied up in a ponytail. He possessed long red hair because he belonged to the 'Red tiger' Clan. He had slightly tan skin and was seventeen in age. Probably the oldest one. He possessed the power of fire and was the strongest one among the four of them.
Next to his right side was Ida Shu from the 'Shu Clan'. She was fourteen years old, the youngest among the four of them. She was like a delicate fairy wrapped up in a white robe. Half of her hair was up in a ponytail and half was down. She had blue eyes...they were as deep as an ocean...just like her ocean eyes she possessed the power of water.
Next to her right side was Darcy Leonidas from the 'Lion Clan'. He was fifteen years old and due to his clan, he had a wolfish appearance. His strength was his power as he possessed no such magic. He was wearing a black robe with silver armor, unlike everyone else he did not possess long hair as he could not handle them. His hair was long but not as long as others. They were till his shoulders and were perfectly tied in a ponytail.
This was a world where not everyone possessed magic or had a strong spiritual core. Those who possessed magic and had strong spiritual cores one way or another had to join forces to protect their clans and sects.
If you have magic no matter how weak or strong if you have a strong spiritual core you have to join forces no matter what. Since the people with ability are very few in this world. If you have magic...you will be kept high. If you have a strong spiritual core you will be kept high but those with a strong spiritual core... still do not possess magic. For that, powers like spells take place. People with magic and a strong spiritual core are taught spells in the sects.
And those who possess magic as well as a strong spiritual core, can do spells, and are well known for different techniques are positioned as 'Masters' in the sect as well as a clan.
Helice Daybrace from the 'Scarlet blossom' Clan stepped down from rocks. She was wearing a green robe, with a white robe with wide sleeves on top of her green robe. It was fluttering with the wind as she made her way toward her three companions. She possessed the power of portals, to her this power was very small but only her master knew what truly her disciple possessed.
She had green eyes like her master. Just like Syloson's red hair shows he is from the red tiger clan...their green eyes show they are from the 'Scarlet blossom clan'. She very much intimated her master's presence.
But it was still nowhere around her.
Her master possessed the power of 'Pausing' and some strong spells like chain control and was from the same clan as her. She possessed green eyes and was strong. Because of her, the scarlet blossom clan was proud but she also bears some sharp arrows on her back which she will never show anyone.
The scar of being without a soulmate.
"Where is Master?" Helice asked as soon as she trailed off in front of the three companions. "She is with the headMaster. She told us to gather here around this time, so we came. She must be coming." Ida said in a soft and gentle voice. She was the most talkative among the three of them but she spoke so gently and softly that no one complained.
"Why didn't you come to the morning class?" Darcy asked Helice as he took out his small knife and examined it. "I overslept," Helice said and all three of them passed her a shocked look. "What a rare moment," Syloson said and crossed his arms on his strong chest.
"Helice overslept. Since this was your very first time breaking the rules, the master won't punish you." Ida said with a smile and Helice shook her head. "Don't be so sure.....What...Any special thing happened in the class?" Helice asked hurriedly, showing others how impatient she was.
"Not really but...we have very bad news," Darcy said, and both the boys looked at Ida, telling her to explain as they were too lazy to do so. Not only that, they had fear implanted in their hearts. They didn't even like to talk about it. They felt powerless to even when they talked or heard about it.
Ida sighed...her bright eyes slowly turning sad, her eyelashes dropping and raising. "That monster...." Ida paused...her expression turning sadder.
"Evandros Linya?" Helice asked and Ida nodded. Helice took a sharp breath once she got to know it was related to the brutal leader of the Linya clan. "He...trampled another sect which beheld one of the seven dark stones. He killed all the students and people living on the peak." Ida said and with a sad sigh, she looked at all the three companions of hers.
"Thank God, we don't possess any dark stone. Otherwise, we were gone." Ida said and Darcy snorted. "Sooner or later, we will have to fight him too. He is collecting seven dark stones...for what reason? Obviously to trample the cultivation world." Darcy said and all three of them sighed.
"Instead of sulking and waiting to come against him, why don't you guys sharpen your skills?"
All four of them flinched, three of them turned their head to the left side, and one of them to the right side. "Master." All four of them said in unison.
In front of them stood a lady in her twenties. She wore a dark blue robe and on top of it was a white open robe with wide sleeves. Golden embroidery on the edges of the robe. She was tall and was wearing long black shoes which ended just below her knees. A black leather belt was around her waist, holding onto her knife. She had long light brown, straight and thick hair which was tied up in a ponytail.
Her skin color was fair and she looked ethereal. A sharp jawline, a perfect forehead, small lips, big green beautiful eyes with long feathery eyelashes, and a thin small nose. She was a walking beauty but her personality was the opposite. Although she was beautiful, for some reason she didn't look delicate. Her features were stern and her green eyes were cold. Her aura defined her power but she wasn't arrogant.
Being beautiful and powerful both at the same time was truly a blessing...that's what people think. Beauty might be from god but she knows how much she has struggled to be this powerful.
After all of this, she still had no tattoos on her body.
Her name was Megara Daybrace.
Everyone flinched upon his unexpected entrance. The man that barged into the room had a presence so demonic, they wondered how strong he was to manage that immense power of his. Evan's eyes went on the five disciples and slightly widened. His gaze traveled to Megara and Neel who seemed fine before moving back onto the disciples. His gaze narrowed on them, making all of them flinch.Megara sensed him and slowly turned towards the door."You..." A rough whisper, no, it was almost a growl that left his lips when he slowly took a step towards them. "They...don't have any ill intention." Megara immediately blurted out calmly before he could lash out at them. Seriously, what were they even thinking before coming here? To be determined was good but Evandros could snap their neck in an instant if he wanted to.Or maybe they were bound to give him a hard time if their powers were combined."If they don't have any ill intention then what brings them to my mansion?" He asked, walking up to them
"Let.go.of.him." Megara almost growled. They weren't aware of him being mute that was why they had their hand on his mouth. The metals around her shook, if she was in her full power the metals might have pierced all of them by now. Neel's little muffling sound continued and the room had a strange eerie silence to it until she felt a familiar aura.A very familiar sense of presence around her. Her ears perked up even more and she contemplated whether to take that name or not but before her lips could part and that name could spill out of her lips, she heard it."Master." A female voice invaded her ears. Her eyes widened upon hearing that and while she was just processing little footsteps approached her and hugged her legs. She immediately ran her hand through his hair and took a breath of relief. "Are you okay?" Megara asked in a daze.Once she felt Neel bobbing his head only then did she begin to process whatever was happening around her. These people...could they be?Before she knew
*a week later*After Lenora was introduced to the clan as the first lady, she was still bound inside his personal chamber. This caused chaos in the personal chambers. Everyone questioned why she was introduced to the clan instead of Megara who they thought was the real mother of Neel.Evandros kept the leash tight enough to lower the chaos. Lenora didn't object and went along with whatever Evan had to order. His black magic prevented anyone unwanted from entering his personal chambers. He doubted Ezekiel and couldn't help but take extra precautions.Megara sat on the edge of the fountain, the sound of water and Neel's little footsteps combined together created a peaceful environment for her. A little hum left her lips. This little human with life was the only one who kept her moving with this blindness. She didn't know what she would do without him."You seem to be enjoying yourself." Megara said with a soft smile on her face, Neel's quick steps on the ground was telling her how happy
A delicious food tray was placed in front of them on the table as they sat on the cushions. The working maidens from his personal chamber eyed the couple sitting on the cushions. The woman with silver stripes stared at the table almost blankly while Evandros on the other hand kept glancing at her.Once the delicious food was settled on the table, the maidens bowed and left the room, gently closing the door behind them since Neel was sleeping on the bed."Shall I wake him up for lunch?" Megara asked and he finally snapped out of his trance of staring at her. He looked at Neel sleeping on the bed. First, the little one looked so comfortable to disturb and second because Evan wanted some alone time with her."No, he looks deep in sleep and quite comfortable. He'll eat once he wakes up." Evan said and before Megara could say something he immediately grabbed a plate and began telling her the dishes names that were served and not so surprisingly all of them were her favorite. She took a lit
"So where is the mother?" Ezekiel asked out of nowhere but Evandros came prepared. "I heard you threw your favorite concubine out. Does that mean he is not from her?" Ezekiel asked further."He is not from her but one of my favorite ones," Evan answered, not disclosing the matter of kicking her out. "So are you gonna marry her?" One of the high-ups asked and the hall fell into an eerie silence. No, he wouldn't marry her. He won't marry unless the bride is his soulmate."No, I won't," Evandros answered with authority."But isn't she the first lady already after birthing your son? Even if you don't want to marry her, she naturally takes that position." Another higher-up stated some facts that couldn't be denied. "That's true but I refuse to marry." He said and somehow everyone deep down knew why he refused to marry.According to them he still hadn't moved on from his dead mate, he never would."That's not very convincing. In our culture, we usually marry our soulmates and if we don't ha
"I was so shocked after hearing the news." Man one said, surprise still plastered on his face as he spoke. "Yeah, me too. It came out of nowhere." Man two added."But whatever it is, I'm glad that our clan finally has a new heir now." Man one said, looking towards the grand terrace of the dark mansion. After so many decades, Commoners were once again allowed to enter the territory of the mansion. They all stood on the huge ground in front of the mansion. Many were standing outside the mansion's territory as there was no space inside for them to stand. Everyone was staring up at the terrace in anticipation. The guards guarding the terrace from all the corners when a tall silhouette enters under the sun's glory. It was Ezekiel Linya back in his real form showing up in front of his people after decades.Everyone bowed, not heartedly but they had no choice but to bow. Under his command, the clan sure did grow but it also came to become one of the most dangerous clans existing on the la
