Anna was about to turn around when she felt an arm wrapping around her shoulders. Looking up, she met the blue eyes of a stranger. Tall and handsome, she immediately noticed. His hair was a beautiful mess on his head. Eyes so beautiful like the blue endless sky and his smirk so cheeky.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when his deep voice spoke. "Who is this lovely young lady?" the smirking stranger asked, checking her out.
Before she could tell him to get off her and get lost, she was interrupted when he was suddenly pulled away from her.
"Don't fücking touch her, Jake," warned Ben.
Jake raised his hands in mock surrender. "Relax, Bro, is she yours?"
"She's my cousin. So stay away."
"I'm not going to hurt her. I'm just trying to make friends."
"Hey! You know I'm not that kind of guy, Ben!"
Ben snorted. "Whatever makes you sleep at night."
"Benjamin Kingsley!" a female voice yelled across the atmosphere, interrupting their conversation.
Hearing his full name which he loathed because it sounded old, Ben groaned and turned around, facing a tall blonde girl who quickly slapped him on the face. The sting of her hand drew a red mark upon his cheek.
"Don't curse on my face, you selfish ässhole!"
Ben scowled. "Nathalie, if this is about last night--"
"No, you left me, Ben. During the night, I was actually expecting you to be there but you left."
"Look, slow down. It's not like we're in a relationshi--"
"Oh, God. I hate you! You--You prick!"
For the last time, her hand met his cheek once again. Tears ran down the girl's face as she ran away. Ben could only watch her go and still not feel anything. Not even a feeling of sympathy.
“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You know, that is very rude."
Ben glared at Jake and earned the sound of his chuckle. "Fück off, Anderson," Ben hissed.
A group of girls walked their way and noticed the pink mark of hand on Ben's face. The girls laughed quietly as well as Jake.
"What the hell?" asked Ben, confused. Since he was famous around School, not to mention he was a member of the football team, he got reputation to protect. Especially, when it came to girls.
"Ben, you've got mark on your face," explained Anna, gesturing to his face which looked actually funny. Ben had a cute face but with a red mark added, he looked like a blushing kid who had just gotten his first sexual pleasure.
Ben cursed to himself and hurried away, giving a look to Anna as if saying, 'Gotta go to the bathroom so don't mess around.'
When Anna was left alone with Jake, Jake smiled to himself and brought his arm back around Anna's shoulder. "So what's your name, pretty girl?"
Anna tried to pull away but he kept his arm glued to her shoulder.
She sighed. "Anna. Anna McQueen."
"It's mainstream," she muttered, completely disagreeing how likable her name is.
"Mainstream?" he asked. "Simplicity is not mainstream, Sweetheart. It's beauty."
She tried to take off his heavy shoulder but he pulled her closer and smirked. They both looked at each other as to what seemed like forever, Anna glaring and Jake smirking.
"Hey, Jake! Stop it, she's new around here!" came the loud voice of John. He grabbed Jake away from Anna and wrapped his arm around him, keeping him close.
"Hey, Bro, I like your cousin," Jake quickly said, winking at John.
"No, don't call me Bro, Anderson. We're not 'Bros.' And I'm telling you," John whispered in Jake's ear so Anna wouldn't hear, "if ever you get to hurt her and mess around her with your sick games, I'll kick your balls and stuff it in your chin for good measure."
Jake could hear the threat behind his warning but he almost felt nothing intimidating by it. He and John were both Seniors, of the same age, and almost the same height so there wasn't really anything to worry about.
The moment he laid his eyes upon the red hooded girl, he was instantly drawn to her. He didn't know exactly why but he guessed it was because of her scent. He could smell it all around her, inhaling the sweet fragrance of cherry blossoms. Especially, when he pulled her close. She was breathtaking. Hell, he could smell her all day.
Checking her out, he had inspected something intriguing about her. She was a mysterious human being. Her long dark hair flowing down her shoulders matched the soft flushed skin of her face. Her bloody red hoodie dress contrasted the porcelain skin from her thighs down her legs.
She was mesmerizing and she didn't even know it.
Brushing his thoughts away, Jake pushed John off him. "John, you can trust me. I'm a good guy. I don't play for fun."
"It's not the games I'm worried about, Jake. I'm worried about you."
Jake frowned at him. "Why me?"
John dragged Jake away with him and said, "I'm worried about your heart, Jake. Hearts are breakable and you might fall for her. She's too innocent and fragile."
"Woah, wait a fücking second," said Jake. "I know she's human but I never fall for a girl, John. And even if I do, I don't give love and then take it away."
"Yeah, right. That's what you say to those other girls, isn't it?"
"They know! They know I'm not searching for anything serious. It's just for fun."
"I thought you said you don't play for fun."
"You misunderstood me. I don't play alone for fun."
"Come on, John. Ben's gone and stuck in the comfort room trying to cover his hickey and I'm the only one she knows. I can take her to tour."
"It's not a matter of trust. You don't have a choice. There are wolves around here and she's unmated."
"It doesn't matter. I'm her first friend. Can't I entertain her around?"
"Just around, alright?" asked John, hesitating. He had to go in practice and training in a few minutes.
"Alright," John sighed. He looked at Anna. "Sorry, I have practice. Jake will introduce you around. Tell me if he does something stupid, I'll kick his balls for you. So, be careful. Good luck on your first day."
After John glared warningly at Jake, he turned around and ran away to God knows where. Jake slang an arm around Anna's shoulder and dragged her to the entrance of the School. Anna looked up strangely at him as she was pulling her feet along with his long strides.
"So," she began, "I don't really know you--"
"There isn't much to know."
She rolled her eyes. She wasn't supposed to let him take her in like that but since John trusted him, maybe she could trust this guy, too.
As soon as she had taken her schedule, Jake introduced her around the School and led her to her first class. Oblivious to the eyes of many around her, Anna had no idea of how the guys devoured her image and smelled in her scent. She was, in fact, a walking chocolate cake with a cherry on top.
Jake knew this was coming so he gave a warning glare to everyone. His eyes could burn their wandering eyes. He kept her close and entertained her, earning a few glances from the other girls.
Once they settled inside her first class, Jake took a glance around before shouting, "Hey, listen! Don't mess around with this girl! You mess around with her, you mess around with me!"
Anna flushed, looking at Jake. She grabbed Jake outside and whisper-yelled, "Who do you think you are?"
"Babe," Jake smirked, "I'm the Big Bad Wolf. No one messes around with me."
