Chapter 65

Jake kept her company all throughout the night. They both ended up drinking wine, talking about life. Anna told him everything that happened to her, how she first shifted and how it felt so amazing and different to be a werewolf.

“You really are something,” he chuckled. “A white wolf. Different from the rest of us.”

“I know, right? Even Bea told me she hadn’t seen a white wolf in decades.”

“You’re a rare kind. I knew it from the beginning.” Jake gazed at her sideways and could only appreciate her beauty. Even now, she seemed so untouchable. She was an angel and he was merely an earthly being who couldn’t ever reach her.

“You were my first friend after all,” she said, glancing back at him with a little smile. “Do you think I can handle being a Luna? It seems rather challenging.”

“Of course, you can handle it. Well, it won’t be easy. But there’s nothing the famous white wolf girl cannot face.”
