In the end, I decided not to wear what my mother had prepared for me. Instead, I put on a fitted white V-neck shirt top, a black coat that folds up below my elbow, denim jeans, and brown Timberland shoes.
I leave my hair messy and take one last look in the mirror. When I was satisfied with my appearance, I decided to descend the stairs, where mom and dad were waiting for me.
I hate doing things like this, it always happened all over and over again. Dad wants me to come for a so-called dinner with his business partner, but he ends up pairing his or her available daughter, and if I refuse, he will just start this fucking dinner with another business partner who knows who.
