*AUTHOR'S POV*

In a blink of an eye, Samantha disappears from where she initially is, and pops up at the rooftop, only to find nothing there other than the same powerful aura that she encounters in the squatter.

'Is that vampire followed me up to here? Are they spying on me?' Samantha thinks, her hands ball into fists, cracking as her chest heaves in inexplicable anger. 'There's starting it again.'

Samantha vanishes off and re-appears in front of Morgan's room. She plans to open the door and checks on him again, but her hand freezes midway.

She steps back and stares at the door. She doesn't penetrate her vision this time. She then looks down and breathes deep as she says in mind, 'I hope I'm wrong. If I'm not, I hope I'm able to protect you against them'.

Shortly after that, she leaves and enters her own room, throwing her back on the bed as she fixes her gaze on the red ceiling.
