Getting Closer
The light blinded her as her eyes opened. She took in a deep breath and smelled cleaning products, blood, and my mate's comforting scent. Alice's heart filled with contentment at the fact he was here. Eyes shut began to try to open once more than registered the form that was asleep with their head down on the bed. The posture he was in looked very uncomfortable. He held her right hand in his as he laid there.
