As the summer holiday was about to come to an end, Tom dailed Lacey's number and wedged the phone between his ear and his shoulder while he took the basket of clothes handed to him by the maid. His locker it would seem, had been blocking his view of Lacey. That is the way it looked anyway, considering she just walked out of a class and he just closed his locker. He smiled at the sight of her as she walked towards his direction with her head bent. The second she raised her head, she saw him and instantly turned around. While Tom waited patiently for Lacey to arrive at the spot he had told her to meet him, he saw Tate walking towards him with a smile plastered on his face and his date under his arm. "Tom." Tom sat on the hood of his car and rested his back on the windshield with one hand behind his head and the other covering his eyes from the sun's rays.
