Chapter 22

On our whole drive to school, Gonzalo kept on asking me if I was hiding something from them. I kept on saying no. I was clueless about what was going on as they were.

"You better be not hiding something from us." His voice sounded like a threat after he stopped the car in the school parking lot.

I gasped. "What am I gonna hide anyway? My life was ordinary until you guys came." I rolled my eyes unbuckling my seatbelt.

"Okay then." He shrugged. "Enjoy your school, little kid." He tapped my head like I was a dog.

I glared at him. "I'm not a little kid."

"Yes, you are. We're centuries older than you." He chuckled.

I just mocked him before getting out of the car. While I was walking in the hallway towards my first class, Nazarus bumped his shoulder onto mine before he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"What's up?" He smiled.

I was still thinking about the car that froze a while ago but I just shrugged. "Nothing much."

"Got a new driver?" he asked.
