Chapter 64

"Kira, I know you can do it. You have conquered so many fears in the past few months. Now is not the time to back out."

I squeezed my eyes closed and let my fur endure the cold wind as I succumbed to nature until I teleported up the falls.

My paws were in a cold position. I howled, easing some of my nervousness as I looked down at the water flowing.

"Yes! You can do it, Kira! I will wait down here. Jump when you're ready. Did you hear me?"

"Yes." I was still amazed by how strong my hearing senses were every time I was in my werewolf form.

It was like I could hear every mimicking sound, every cripple, every grasp. I watched Fenris sitting on a huge stone near the river while he was looking up at me above the falls.

I looked down at the falling water again. The feeling of being above it was suffocating as if I was already drowning just by looking at it.
