A groan escaped my lips as my eyes flutter open, taking a look around where we are. “Oh, you’re awake. I was just about to come wake you up, we’ve arrived in NewYork.” Aaron spoke from behind.

I sat up, sleep clearing from my eyes almost immediately. “Let’s go. I got your things packed up.” He says again, stretching his hand forward to help me stand up. I look at his hand for some seconds and slid my hand in his.

Aaron smiled widely as we got down from the plane. I spent the last seven hours sleeping and now feel weak to my bones.

Minutes later I found myself outside the airport with Aaron. “Come on, the car is here.” He tells me, tucking his phone into his pockets as he nudged me to move. Instead I shook my head, looking into my phone. The driver is just a minute away.

“You don’t have to worry sir, Sasha and Ellie are picking me up.” I lied confidently. Sasha and Ellie don’t even know I’m back in NewYork talk less of coming to pick me at the airport.
