The air was heavy with the scent of cigarettes as she stood frozen, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and disbelief. The dim light from the door reflected on Lucian, who stood there staring at her like a predator.

His piercing dark green eyes seemed to penetrate her soul as he exhaled a cloud of smoke.

"Kayla, take Nathan from her!" His voice echoed in her head. Her eyes widened in terror as she watched Kayla make her way towards her.

With trembling hands, she reluctantly handed Nathan over to Kayla, unable to do anything to stop it.

How had he found out about her house? How had he managed to get inside?

Lucian stood up and began to approach her, her legs trembling as she watched him draw nearer. What was he going to do to her? She was beginning to regret her decision.

“You think you escaped?" Lucain asked, his voice dripping with menace. A dangerous laugh escaped his lips as he circled Ava, his movements predatory and calculated.
