Chapter 31
While waiting for Tanya to come back, Elaine sat down on the couch. She could feel Kayla’s gaze even when she was trying to focus on the document that she brought.
‘Why is she glaring at me? Is she thinking that I’m going to steal her brother?’ Elaine thought to herself, flipping to the next document.
Elaine would’ve left earlier if she didn’t need to talk to Tanya about important stuff but since she’s already here, why not be friends with Tanya’s sister.
“I heard from your brother that you’re in college? What major are you in?” Elaine suddenly asks, turning her head toward Kayla as she creates small talk.

Tanya slowly opens her eyes; she saw an unfamiliar ceiling. When Tanya fully wakes up, she realizes that she was sleeping on the floor and not on the couch, which explains why her back hurts. “Arghh…what was that dream?” Tanya muttered to herself, ruffling her hair as she let out a yawn. She slowly stood up from the floor and went straight into the kitchen. Tanya grabs a glass of water; she places her phone on the counter while gulping the water to dampen her dry throat. [Ring][Ring]“It’s early in the morning, who’s calling me?” Tanya mumbles to herself with a frown, she put down the glass on the counter before answering the call. “Hello? Who’s this?” Tanya put the phone to her ear and ask, she didn’t look at the caller thus the reason why she ask. “You’re Tanvi Elsher, right?” a female voice sounded. “I’m here, Athy” Tanya opens the door, she took a step back, and look at the plate number to make sure that this is her apartment. “How Is it so clean?” Tanya muttered to herself, thinking that she can only hear it but Athy also heard it when she was leaving the kitchen, heading to the living room. “Yeah, because I clean it! You should clean the apartment even though you’re not living here” Athy respond to Tanya with a frown on her face before scolding Tanya, a worried look could be seen on her face. “Hehe, sorry mom” Tanya lamely apologizes with a smile on her face, calling Athy “mom”. She takes a sit on the couch and lets take a big sniff at the newly cleaned room.

“Are we going to use your car or my car?” Athy asks Tanya, looking at Tanya who’s wearing a white classic polo neck pullover grey A-line skirt shirt along with a pair of black knee-high boots and with light makeup on her face. “Mine, I have to buy stuff for Kayla’s room on the villa” Tanya responds with a smile, twirling the car key on her finger. “Do you have enough money?” Athy asks Tanya with a worried look on her face, tilting her head to the side. “Yup~ Ms. Elaine gave me money because I did a good job in front of her parents, she also said that she’s going to give me money half a month later for advance payment” Tanya answered with a smile and added a comment as she walks toward the door with her hands on her chin.
