LOGIN“Mr Kiel, you look pale all of a sudden.”
Miss Anna mumbled. She put a coffee on the guy’s desk. “I bought coffee for everyone. This is yours.” She smiled and pulled her seat to sit. She and Kiel sometimes used their free time to talk to each other.
Miss Anna came from a poor clan, and just like him, her family also have a big debt to the Lowell Clan. If there was someone who can understand his situation, it's this young lady.
There are 5 clans that rule the 5 cities here. The first one on top was the Lowell Clan. Devyn’s parents were the most powerful, including their packs. Their family bloodline was known for producing powerful, dominant alphas. No one dares to step and oppose them.
As for Devyn, who was born to be an omega, the way to crawl up to the top wasn’t that easy. Since she was an omega, she used all of her abilities and intelligence to prove herself. She even surpassed her older brother’s power over the company. She gained more achievements whenever she went and her name spread all over Ventus City.
Ventus City was the wealthiest city among the four. This city is known as the Lowell Clan’s territory.
“Did the president give you a hard time again?” Miss Anna asked, putting her cup down.
The man shook his head. “It’s my fault. I should have brought her the other alpha on my list. She didn’t like the celebrity.” He replied, twirling the cup of coffee in his hand.
“That must be hard,” the young lady sympathized with him. “President Lowell is scary when she’s in a bad mood, but it's all thanks to you, Mr Kiel.”
Again, the throbbing pain struck his temples again. Kiel lowered his head and then massaged his head for a while. The young lady quickly took a small sprayer from her bag and handed it to the man. “You can use my suppressor perfume.”
Everyone in the company knew how strong Devyn pheromones were. They were asked to carry a personal suppressant perfume in order to remove the left scent. Kiel didn’t have one because he believed that he would not get affected by it since he was a recessive alpha.
“Thank you.” He sprayed a small amount on his palm and rubbed it on his hands just like a hand sanitizer.
‘It must be hard for you, Mr Kiel. Inhaling all of her pheromones all alone. Anyone can pass out just like that,’ Miss Anna thought, giving the man a worried expression.
It’s not even a minute that Kiel finally relaxed for a bit when another company employee knocked on his desk. He tilted his head, that was leaning on the swivel chair.
“Did I disturb you? I’m sorry, but the president is looking for you.” It was Mr Mo, their team manager. He came from the president’s office to submit some papers and was ordered to call Kiel.
“Eh? But it's still lunchtime?” Miss Anna butted in.
Mr Mo sighed with her. “You know time doesn’t matter to Miss Lowell and please let’s not talk about that here. Someone might have to see and report us.” he said in a whisper.
Kiel stood up, leaving his half cup of coffee on the desk. “I will go now. Please excuse me.”
He took a lift going to the said floor and then immediately walked to the office at the edge of the hallways. When he entered, he saw the president talking on the phone. She was facing the window and frowning while mumbling something to the other line.
“I don’t want to talk about that anymore.” Devyn turned her chair as soon as she heard the door open. She waved her hands, gesturing for Kiel to come closer. “Talk to my assistant,” then she handed the phone to the man.
Kiel pressed the phone to his right ear. He recognized the voice. “Madame, yes? This is me, speaking.”
It was Devyn’s mother and the reason why she wanted her daughter to have dinner with them was because she had someone set up for her like a date.
“Kiel, my dear. Can you please scold Devyn for me? She’s not a child anymore. Tell her that she needs to grow up.” Madame Lowell almost sighs.
Kiel nodded. “I understood, Madame. Though even I scolded Miss Lowell, she will not listen to me. I am just her assistant, following orders. Please don’t think too much, Madame. Your blood pressure might rise up again.” he said with such a gentle voice.
“Thank you, Kiel. But I will still not give up, so tell her that.”
After the call, Kiel put back the phone down and then he faced the lady. “President, you should consider the madame.” he suggested.
“She’s so persistent. I told her so many times that I’m not interested in dating anyone. I don’t need it.” Devyn firmly said.
In time like this, Kiel is the only one who can witness her burst into anger because her mother kept on setting her up on different blind dates.. Everyone out in the company knew her as a cold person.
However, Devyn smells something that she doesn't like. She sprang from her seat and pulled the man by the collar. A glint of dominance escaped the side of her eyes. “Who’s scent it this, Kiel?”
Her hot breath traveled down to the man’s nape near his ear.
Kiel didn’t move or struggle. He let out a breath and replied. “Miss Anna gave me suppressant perfume earlier because I was having a mild headache from inhaling your pheromones.”
Devyn smirked. “What an honest man,” from Kiel’s collar, her hands traveled down to his chest and slightly pushed him. “How rude of you to come here carrying scent from other women. Do you think it's the suppressant perfume that I am smelling right now?”
She tilted Kiel’s chin. “That woman must be shameless that she’s grabbing every small time you’re with her to rub off her smell to you.” she looked him in the eyes. “It seems like she’s interested in you.”
Kiel remained silent. He couldn't deny it if Devyn smelled another scent for him. He’s a recessive alpha, so he didn’t even think of any other reason why someone would be interested in him.
Devyn’s brows scowled, and the atmosphere changed. Her sweet strong pheromones spread all over with dominance.
She put her finger on the man’s lips. “Remember this, Kiel. I am the only one who can put my pheromones into you. I don’t want any disgusting smell lingering on my property. Do you understand?”
Kiel clenched his fist. “Y-Yes, President.”
Shadow Maulers were known as a ruthless group. It contains clanless people that will do anything for money. Killing someone is not even a problem. This group lives underground and usually works for powerful people in the background. Of course, the world would not be balanced if there were no bad people. Even if Ventus City was ruled by the Lowell Clan, it's still not in their hands to control these mad, selfish people. No matter how high they put the security, these shadows will still lurk in the background. The atmosphere inside the car became more serious. The one that looked so bothered was Devyn. She turned her gaze outside the car, biting her nails unconsciously. She has this habit whenever she feels anxious. From her side, Kiel pulled her hand. “President, stop biting your nails.” he put the lady’s hand down and put his gaze back to the road while waiting for the green light. Devyn clicked her tongue, and the frown on her eyes deepened.“Don’t stress yourself too much. We ar
“Good evening, Mr Kiel. Thank you for working hard today.” Felix happened to bump into the guy in the hallways of the second floor. The company was about to be emptied now since the other employees were already on their way home. The guy nodded back. “Same to you, Mr Remus.” Kiel moved over and gave way to the man. “Take care on your way home.” Felix stopped for a while. “Kiel,” he called out. This time, his voice was sincere. When the other guy looked at him, he smiled. “Thank you for considering my proposal.”Kiel shook his head. “It’s the president’s decision, not me. I will tell her about your gratitude and besides, we are prioritizing what’s good for our employees.” he said. “I see,” the former replied. “I will go home now. Good evening again.”When the man finally disappeared, Kiel took a lift going to the lower ground in the parking lot. He was on his way to the car to get Devyn’s coat because it’s cold outside. He pressed the car key and saw the flickering light from the s
The atmosphere became more gloomy when the silence hit them. Right now, in that long table were the three powerful persons among their clan. Two dominant alphas and one dominant omega.Raye Edon was with his bodyguards as usual. A serious face with a cunning expression behind. He was sitting crossed legs next to his friend, Luca.Luca was with Axel today. Still grumping over that team building his father wanted him to participate.Of course, in front of them was Devyn Lowell, with her assistant Kiel behind her. “Guys, I know all of us are not pleased to see each other again, but we need to cooperate, yes?” Raye leaned his back and glanced at the two alternatively. He knew that if there’s someone who’s not welcome here, it's more likely to be him.“Why are you just looking at me? Am I not very welcome here?” he added before looking to the guy on his right side.Luca grunted at him. “I came here because my father told me to. My assistant forced me to come here.” They both flinched whe
“Okay, everyone make sure to write your name here. I will submit this to the president tomorrow.”Mr Mo cleared everything for them before distributing the pamphlet for the upcoming company team building next week. He posted the announcement on the whiteboard to make sure that everyone will be informed. The L.L Corporation will be having its team building with the F.E company in order to strengthen the partnership and bond between the said companies.“Mr Mo, would you mind helping me clear this datas here?”Anna waved her hands to get the man’s attention. She was already finished but some new emails arrived and she accidentally merged the said profiles. Mr Mo rushed to her for help.“Miss Anna, how many times do I have to tell you that you need to close this one before opening the new ones.” he mumbled while clicking the mouse and eyes on the monitor.“I’m sorry. I accidentally pressed the shift.” Anna replied, observing what she did in her files. “Are you going to participate in the
“Good morning, President.”He greeted her and opened the car door for her. Albert opened the gate for them and guided them outside. Kiel adjusted the rearview mirror and caught Devyn’s expression, frowning. He turned the car around and hit the road.“Did you not sleep well last night, President?” he asked, still eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel. The lady sitting in the backseat clicked her tongue. She’s still sulking about last night. She admitted that she slept well, but not waking up with Kiel made her mood down. The lady turned her eyes on the road. “I want a coffee.”Kiel checked the time and nodded back, knowing that he had more time to pass by and buy coffee for her. Today, there were lots of meetings and seeing that Devyn’s already frowning, he can guess that the lady was not in the good mood.Kiel parked the car and headed straight in the cafe. He went back inside and gave the coffee to the lady. When they reached the company, she didn’t have time to prepare,
"Kiel? Are you–alright?"Veronica scanned the guy from head to toe. Seeing his state with messy hair and small crumples on clothes. The guy cleared his throat. "Yes, Miss Veronica." He nodded and joined her downstairs. "Miss Lowell asked me for some water."The woman pointed at the way to the kitchen. "Sure, go ahead. I prepare some juice. You guys must be cleaning inside the study room."When they reached the kitchen, she's the one who opened the fridge and took out the pitcher with apple juice. "Make sure to not inhale any dust, okay?"Kiel took it and said thanks. When the guy left, Veronica clicked her tongue in dismay. She put her palm on forehead and mumbled. “These kids should just ask the maids to do that. Isn’t it Saturday today? They are supposed to relax from work.”From the oven, Madam Evelyn peeked. She was about to put the new cookies back after checking. “Let them be. Devyn likes to organize her things on her own.” She comforted the other woman.Veronica didn’t answer
