Morowa.
The faint glow of the evening sun baths the room, casting shadows of objects placed strategically around the room, giving it an air of elegance. Twin beds placed directly opposite each other with sheets of the finest cotton and silk covering and decorating them.
Bare footed and lacking a top, Heather laid on the bed to the left of the room, eyes closed, taking calming breaths, her chest rising and falling as she took deeper breaths than the last whenever she released the first.
She says it's a stress relief technique and I won't argue with her but I know that method just never clicked with me for cl some reason.
Every time I try taking calming breaths, things I would rather be doing than sitting and breathing comes to mind and I just stop trying and go dp that instead.
My legs and arms spread in eagle pose,
Warren. What on earth was she doing here and why?Oh, I knew the answer to the last one. Trim hips swayed to unheard music when she gave my shoulder a light shove to waltz into further into the room. Gentle clicks emitting from her flats with each step taken."What are you doing here?"That was it. This only confirmed my theory. The Tyler clan really wanted to ruin my life. If Mr. Tyler wanted to settle this, why not settle it directly with my father but oh well, I guess playing games was all the range this season."You know a simple welcome would have been nice." She said. "How about this. Say 'hello Sapphire, I am very delighted to see you after so long."Not a chance. "And why would I say that?""Nothing. Just thought you'd miss me."My patience stretched to the farthest limit,&n
Morowa.I'm never doing that again! I mean could he get any worse?I literally just told him I didn't want to get any cooler and he just decides, I need to 'chill out'."Calm down, Rowa." Val consoled from beside me with a hand placed on my shoulder."And why would I do that?" I question with disbelief. "He just freaking did what I told him not to do.""I know and there's no excuse for that and I'm not defending his actions or anything but I don't want you to do anything you'd regret later." She explains. "We can plan our revenge carefully and swim in satisfaction."That made sense. No use in getting mad and acting in three moment. I'll give him the silent treatment until I carry out my revenge.I raised you better than this, Morowa.Manny was already shaking her head
Sky."Okay." I reluctantly let go of her wrist. She seemed to want to leave me and get as far away from me as possible.I don't know why but there's this unsettling feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. Almost Like something big is about to happen but not just happen, but happen to Morowa. But what? What could possibly happen?I stopped when a clutter of students from the school stood at the reception desk.Mrs. Jean, calling names from a clipboard held tightly in her hands which shook visibly.
Morowa. The world rocked beneath me, moving at the speed of a snail. Slow and steady.A throb decides to make itself known at the base of my head when the surface beneath me jerked, my head making a painful connection with a hard surface. My eyes refused to budge. I tried again but failed. Why won't my eyes cooperate with me?An occasional honk or yell from somewhere outside invade my ears and yet my body refused to respond."Take the girl." A gruff voice barked. Firm hands touched behind my knees. I felt like cringing but with my body still disconnected from my mind, I couldn't.The person start walking, the movements making my arms swing out of my control.Cold and sharp breeze slashed across my skin causing goosebumps. Fresh water and salt indicate we must be somewhere near a beach or river
"Should I send her up Sir?" She asked before backing it up with the statement that she could send her away if I wanted which caused my lips to be teased by a small smile. She knew just what to say to me.Seeing as there was no other way to avoid this meeting, I better just get it out of the way. "No, don't send get away, send her in, might as well deal with this and get it over with.""As you wish, Andre." She said before I placed the landline down.I had no words for her and if she was coming back for the same thing again then I was going to loose my mind. It was as simple as that.As expected, she didn't bother with a knock. Just barged in like this was her room."Hi handsome." She greeted with a deliberate low voice."What do you want?" I asked. I was in no mood for her schemes."What do you mean by 'what do I want
The cry of the mobile which was placed in a sloppy manner on the centre table, sliced through the thick and silent air of my room. No matter how much I tried to add personal touches to this room, it just never suited my style."Sapphire here.""Have you gone ahead with the plan?" He inquired not bothering to seek after my well being. I wiped the moisture which had escaped from my eyes. This shouldn't have affected me so much but it did."Yes.""Good, keep me updated on your progress." He hung up like I was one of the impersonal workers at the manor. All seventeen years of my existence were and still are spent trying top get him to acknowledged me. Anyt
Devin. There was one person and only one person who wore it. That one person I never got to reveal myself to. Never said hi. Why? All because I was afraid she wouldn't accept me? Thinking about it now, what a lame excuse. Fear of rejection. The crushed white carbon bags only confirmed my suspicions. She was taken against her will. From the looks of it, she was caught unaware. I was sure she might have fought and tried to escape but whoever took her had carefully planned this all out.How could a girl be kidnapped in a public place and no one came to her rescue? Maybe their silences were bought? It was quiet possible that they were threatened into silence. All this wondering wasn't bringing any good to the low ache at the back of my head.It was artfully crafted but they also seemed dumb to me because right there on the walkway in broad daylight and
Warren.Mouths and rage held in thin check, the entire grade gathered around the reception area murmuring away about one thing or the other. It didn't take long before the view of the figures of Crescent, standing alongside Ken who swiped away at the screen of his phone absentmindedly. Kris and another cheerleader just stood off to the side, looking indifferent but making frequent eye contact in some form of silent communication. Others stood a bit away from the group which made them easy to spot. Mrs. Jean, clipboard clutched tightly in her port arms, called a name once in a while to get a response from the said student."So why did the teachers call for a head count?"Kris's head turned in my direction at the sound of my voice but quickly turned away to offer a small smile to her 'friend'.Ken's shoul
