Familiar buzzes of conversations mixed with the silent chattering of Crescent who seemed even more sweaty than I would ever be were the only sounds entertaining me.

“She said yes, ” he continued, wiping his palms on his jeans. “I'm so nervous.”

“Why are you so nervous?” I asked making sure to mask my growing anxiety. “I've seen the both of you. She's so into you so don't sweat it.”

“You don't get it.” He said. “Imagine you were in my shoes and I literally pushed you in front of Valentina and it all went well and urgh.” He ran his fingers through his hair clearly frustrated.

“You know what,  forget it. “

With that,  we lapsed into a silence and I tried tuning out the constant buzz around us. We were about to take off again. At least I wasn't as nervous as the first time and I had my headset on with the volume on the highest p
