Red and blue lights flashed along with the constant blare of the police cars and ambulance. From where I stood,  shocked and unable to moved, absorbing everything.

At least I got what I wanted. Peace at last. Were my father's last words before a silent thud signified he collapsed. Mary and Dario stood over the unconscious body of my newly discovered twin asking the paramedics questions. Sweat still trickled down my forehead and back whenever the image of my dad holding the gun to her temple flashed through my mind.

"I hope she's gonna be fine."

The guy who had jerked my father's hand away at the last second continued watching the scene unfold. I wasn't even going to ask how he knew where we were or his relation work us. I was just glad dad was gone.
