Chapter six

I avoided him for the next two weeks,I didn't know why but I just had to. The worst part was what transpired in the bathroom always popped up in my head almost every single damn time. His voice, his warmth , urrggg I so much hated this guy, I hated the fact that I couldn't hate him.

It was a Saturday and as usual I woke up late.i had just come out of the bathroom heading to my wardrobe

"Jesus! you scared me" I exclaimed when I saw Ivan on mybed

"You sure did took your time" he said

"Ivan what are you doing here"I asked holding the towel more firmly

"Why are you avoiding me" he asked

"I'm not and please can you leave,as you can see I'm half naked "I said sharply 

" Don't flatter yourself , I'm not looking" he scoffed

"I can't put on my clothes with you here , and where did my room mates go " I added now realizing no one was in the room but us.

"Well I paid them off" he answered

"Look o really ha..."

"Nice write-up" he cut in not letting me finish "did you write the stories"

"Yea, every single book there" I answered , now moving backward cus was walking towards me.i moved till I got to the wall.he walked slowly towering over me, my feet suddenly became weak 

" Wh what are you doing" I managed to say but he didn't reply , that breath taking sky smile not leaving his face.he pulled hishead closer to mine,and rested it on myshoulder.

*Wait did Ivan just hug me* I thought .he slowly wrapped his hands around mywaist with a very tight grip .our bodies were so close and his fragrance filled my nose, we stayed like that for a while shokingly unmoved" - " I wanted to say but he beat me to it.

"Don't do that to me again ugly , the last two weeks was boring without you " he whispered loud enough for me to hear "I will be waiting at the gate for you ,we have a school to look around" and with that he slowly pulled away and walked out of the room."phew" I breathed out,i twas then I realized I was holding mybreath all these while.i couldn't do anything ,I was still trying to wrap my head over what just happened.

"Adure" Chisom's voice snapped me out of my thought

"Oh Ch Ch Chisom you are here " I stammered

"Yes and I think I saw Ivan walking out of here , why was he here and wait don't tell me he was here with you looking like this " she said

"Well it's a yes to both of your questions, and as for why he was here, he wants me to show him around the school. He's even waiting for me at the gate" I answered

"Ouu_ ouuu, I knew he had a thing for you. So what did you say, are you going with him" she grinned wildly

"Of course not, and no he doesn't have a thing for me, have you forgotten , he thinks I'm ugly" I responded

"Oh please, spare me that one that's just what he was using to get close to you, take it from a relationship expert like me. And put on your clothes fast , prince charming is waiting downstairs'" 

"No way, there's no way I'm touring with him, and please don't give me that look" I said as she rolled her eyes at me

"Oh please don't be such a kill joy, com'on let me dress you up, ready for your date" 

"It's not a date, it's just a tour joor" I said in yoruba 

"Less talking, more dressing" she shushed me up and she just did her thing.

"Hi Ivan" Chisom called as soon as we got to the gate 

"Hi, hey Adure"he said now facing me

"Hi" I mumbled

  "Wow you look different in casuals" Ivan said as we walked towards him

"I know right, it brings out her ass" Chisom chipped in, beaming with smiles

"Uhhg Chisom" I exclaimed

"What is it not true, please Ivan take care of her you hear, I will leave you guys now. Bye babes ,have fun"she said and started walking away.

"Hey ugly, she's not wrong, it does bring your ass out" Ivan spoke up the moment she left

"Can you please stop talking about my ass" I replied, I was really starting to feel odd 

"Soo, shall we? " He asked stretching his hands towards me, I just stared at him and scoffed , walking away

"Hey ugly wait up" he trailed behind.

"And finally this is the Sl tree"I said, we've been walking for some time now ,from lab to lab,football field to volleyball, the dining hall,and finally we are here now,the last place i was going to show him , cus I was already tired "why is it called that" he asked

"Well it means senior lovers tree, only students call it by this name, it is said to be the tree where senior lovers hangout,some get asked out here as well" I answered

"Oh" he mouthed "hmmm.so does a relationship formed here last,cus I'm about to ask the girl I love out"he asked

"Huh,what do you mean by that"

"What I mean is,I'm going down one kneel to ask this ugly girl here who caught my heart out."he replied doing just that

"Ivan what are you doing" I asked again really shocked, I was so gobsmacked , like I didn't know what to feel at that point

"Adure" he called taking my hands "will you be my girlfriend" he finally said still on his kneels 

"Ivan" I called not knowing what to say

"Please Adure I know I've not been nice to you,I called you names and said hurtful words to you,but the thing is,I can't get my head off you, I can't stop stealing glances at you in class , I can't stop wanting to hear your voice everyday.swears these last two weeks were like hell without you, I can't help but confess that I'm madly and irrevocably In love with you, with the most beautiful ugly girl I've ever met. Adure please,will you be my girlfriend" he ended his long speech

I was speechless,I didn't know what you say.
