Chapter 5

"argh!"

The man let out an accented growl when he woke up, his head hurting so badly that it was as if he had been hit by a hard object.

He leaned over and crawled to the side, hoping his dog was still there but he didn't touch anything. the dog was no longer there so he immediately opened his eyes and looked at the time.

"Geez! It's noon, the dog might be hungry." He immediately got up and went out to the kitchen.

But he caught up with a man who was preparing food at the table. The man could not believe what he saw! His friend Frio was at his house and cooked for him. Add to this, is his dog just sitting pretty on the sofa while watching TV that you really think he understand the news.

He walked closer to his friend, when Frio noticed him, Frio immediately smiled at him.

"Oh! You're awake, come and sit here while I preparing more food." The man said to Jace and he even pulled out a chair for Jace to sit on.

Clever looked away from them, disgusted by what he saw. It's just like a couple if they act!

A gentle caress make Clever to turned to the man, and here he is again the annoyance that Clever felt was like a bubble that suddenly popped when he saw Jace's smile plastered on it face.

"I'm not weak enough to be brought just by  your smiled." Clever convinced himself to be pulled by that smile!

It seems like only yesterday that clever was trying to convince himself that he would never be fooled by Jace's smile again,  but now he failed to protect his pride! He can't ignore the cuteness that guy has.

There's really only one who can't get rid of clever's annoyance, the presence of jace's friend. He didn't know but he really didn't want to feel the presence of Jace's friend but more to that, he didn't want the man to approach or touch Jace .

If he just a friend act like just a friend why even touch the man and pull a chair!

Clever stopped whining when another hand caressing him, he immediately walked away from Frio.

"Ha! Why is he holding me, what does he think? Everyone has the privilege of touching me? I am an Alpha, leader of the top pack! Geez, he touched me using his dirty f*ck*ng hand." Clever's  disgusted to himself because he felt he is dirty now.

"Looks like your dog doesn't like me," Frio said to Jace and stood up and touched his friend's shoulder.

Clever doesn't know but he feels that Frio can see through him and annoys him deliberately.

"Grrrr!" He growled, Clever can't compressed his annoyance when it comes to the guy.

On the other hand,

Jace is happy because he has people with him now, he used to be alone when he got sick but now he is no longer, he has a friend he can count on and he has a dog with him all the time.

"By the way, I don't remember going to the bedroom. Did you brought me there, Frio? " Frio stopped what he was doing and turned to Jace.

"Yes, I would like to invite you to have a drink last night. Fortunately, I brought the duplicate key to your house and was able to enter. I found you in the kitchen, whimpered in pain while holding your chest so I was worried about you and took you to your room and gave you the medicine. " Man said to Jace.

Clever's ear twitch from what he heard, saw on the kitchen? But he had already taken Jace to the sofa when the man came, why did he have to lied!

"Is that so? Thanks. It's a good thing you came, I almost didn't know what happened yesterday. All I can remembered is that I felt a lot of pain in my chest and I felt very hot. " Jace's said to his friend.

"Yes, and good your okay now, no?" Frio gently caressed Jace's face.

Clever didn't know but he felt like he didn't exist at those times, the two of them were just talking. He feels alone, He's angry with the man because he lied to Jace, but he is also annoyed with Jace because he can't even pay him attention.

It's always Frio he's focused!

"Frio, Frio, always Frio!" Clever said to his mind.

When they finished eating and when Frio finished cleaning the plates, he said goodbye.

"Hey, I'm going now, you know I need to feed my dogs and to open my shop. Don't forget to take your meds. Okay?"  Frio advised to his friend.

Jace's nodded his head and said thank you to Frio.

"Thank you so much again for coming and taking care of me, come back later and have dinner here. I will cook for you. " Jace said cheerfully, the joy on Frio's face did not escape Clever's eyes.

"Sure! Why not, I will gladly accept your offer." He smiled gently.

While Clever on the other said want to protest.

"And he's actually going to bring that guy back and cook while he feeds me dogfood a few times!" Clever complained to himself, he laid down again on the small sofa and there he mumbled.

"Oh, you're going to sleep again, Cutie?" Jace asked the dog as if he was talking to a human.

But clever didn't move or turn to the man, he just kept feeling annoyed with it and Frio was the one who started his annoyance, why did he feels it?

Maybe he will go crazy if he stays at home with the man for more long time.

"You know what, I'm happy right now," Jace's confessed caused Clever to turn around his head to Jace.

When the dog turn around to where he is, he smiled at it.

"I'm happy because I have a lot of friends now. You and Frio, the two of you is enough, I didn't have a parent when I was young someone said my parents died when I was still a baby but they could not tell the exact reason what or why my parents died. An old woman adopted me but she also died when I finished my elementary, it was very painful to lose a single family. " Jace's story continued.

"When I went to an orphanage, no one wanted to make friends with me because I was from a Sitio a place that secluded, because of that, many said that they should not approach or befriend to me because they did not know if I was good or bad person.

When I was in 2nd year high school, a family adopted me but not long after, they left me and went to another country without even telling me, I just went home with all my belongings outside and the house was already sold. I went almost everywhere before but only ended up in the orphanage again. Many laughed at me because of that, but I couldn't do anything because it was really funny  right? because they left me after I was adopted. " Clever didn't know how to felt about what he found out that the man had gone through.

He wanted to hug the man and said he was there and he wouldn't leave the man.

But if he could said that to the man, would he be able to stand that he wouldn't leave the man?

Can he really do that?
