Chapter 6

August's POV

We have entered the Academy compound. But I am still gaping like a fish. It's amazing now because I feel like a hunter who found a rare object. Everything will not be justified with just the word amazing. I can't find the right words for the beauty of the place.

It is magical and so fantastic but those words don't give them justice. The beauty is so unearthly.

"Looks like the one who did this was mad at gold, seriously." I only stated.

"Everything should be at its finest. The students here are from all over the world and came from nobility." Genieva answered.

"Wow." I just answered. It seems like, I am developing goosebumps every time I rake my eyes at the structure.

The Academy is so big and so wide as in literally. I feel like it's the size of Disneyland or universal studios. There are lots of buildings that scream sophistication and I can't figure out why there are so many buildings there.

"Hey snap it out. We need to go to the registrar's office." Genieva suddenly promised me. Probably, because I seem to have drowned in the beauty of the Academy.

I was like a robot that automatically immediately pivoted and followed Genieva. They say we are heading to the registrar and we are heading to a not-so-large building but it still screams the sophistication of the materials used upon construction.

"Wow, the school is so shiny literally," I commented as we headed to the registrar's office.

"The Royal Family and nobilities donate a lot of Dhraknus for the Academy's renovation every year." It answered me.

"Dhraknus?" I asked confused. I have no idea what that is.

"Pandora's currency." He answered then suddenly pulled something out of his pocket. "Like this coin, it is equivalent to one dhraknus."

She means gold coin with a carving of a crown and a sword. The coin is somewhat bigger than the usual coins on Earth.

"You don't have paper bills, like money made of paper," I ask here.

They looked at me as if I was losing my mind. "We don't have such a thing. The highest currency we do have is one dhraknus. The paper has no value."

Well, technically a gold coin has a bigger value than one thousand bills. Weird but true. So if there are no paper bills, it seems to be difficult if they bring a lot of coins. But who the hell cares, as long as I am not carrying them, I won't give a damn.

We have reached the registrar's office. And there is a counter lined up there. Only a few people are there and are currently busy stamping documents.

Genieva approached one of the counters there so I immediately followed.

"Good afternoon Ms. Galdrowe, I am here for the request from the council." It promised.

It seems that Ms. Genieva means Galdrawe. "Hand me the papers." Its hinge.

Genieva immediately reached for a paper that I think was the one she was reading in the carriage. It immediately checks the content.

"August White?" His behavior changed but he continued to read. "Good gracious, the new student is h-human?" Can't believe this promise.

Genieva nodded. Why is it, me, being a human is such a big deal for them?

Shouldn't I be the one to freak out because they are aliens? This is very ironic. Humans are afraid of aliens, and aliens are afraid of humans. What is right? Silly

"But she loo-" he said and was cut off by Genieva.

"I know and I think the council already explained everything." It's a calm promise.

I am wondering what Ms. should say. Galdrowe because if he looks at me it's like seeing a ghost or like he wants to fart but just stops it.

But I didn't pay attention to that anymore. Small things, you are. Would I even pay attention to it if it was really afraid of me? Like seriously, do I look like a freaking monster?

"She will be enrolled as a celestial lady like what the council instructed. And about the fees, it was already settled by the council as well." It was fun as he sealed the paper Genieva had given him and arranged it into a shiny scroll. "After here at the registrar, you go to the uniform center to measure the new student. That's all." He said while reaching for another piece of paper.

"Thanks," Genieva promised and accepted the paper. He looked at the paper and read it before handing it to me.

Even though I was wondering, I accepted it and immediately looked at it. I can see the Academy's Logo on top and at the bottom, I can see the titles lined up.

SCHEDULE CL101 YEAR 1

Praying 1............ 3:00 pm

Music 1............... 9:00 am

Dancing 1........... 11:00 am

Healing 1............ 1:00 pm

I got a feeling that these are subjects. But why is there praying and healing? Will I be a nun or a shaman? Are you joking? The question gradually appeared in my mind. I know it's an assessment and that's my schedule, but that subject is crazy.

"Gen, is this serious or just a prank?" I ask here. There is no way a subject can be this ridiculous.

"What about it? You're enrolled as a celestial lady so there is nothing wrong with the schedule." It answered that there is no dust.

"Oh." I only answered. "And what is this celestial lady thing?" I asked. Because I only know celestial and not celestial lady.

"Celestial Ladies is a high-rank ladies in the society. Celestial Ladies do the praying for the peace of the land and have a healing ability. Celestial Ladies also are the candidate for the crown prince's wife in the future." This is the answer.

I stopped walking which also caused Genieva to stop. Now that I understand what the Celestial Lady is, I feel overwhelmed by the information. For short, a celestial lady can't be a normal person. And me? I am just a freakin' human!

"Holyshit! I cannot be a celestial lady! I am just a human! And I don't have this healing ability for crying out loud! You must be joking!" I'm panicking I promise. I'm like a restless cat. Who would be able to relax in this situation?

"Hahahahaha!" Genieva suddenly laughed like crazy. Suddenly you're crazy! "You look so funny!" It continues. It seems to enjoy my misery.

"You are so mean!" I want to slap this girl. Are you going to laugh at me?

"My gosh. That was funny." It's still laughing less and less but it looks like it's cooling itself down. "You have nothing to worry about, the healing ability is not necessary but if you have you will be automatically the First Class celestial lady. So just relax." This explains it.

That's how it is. I thought it was required. Gen kept laughing at me because of my weird panic earlier. "Why didn't you tell me right away? You let me think like that." I have a complaint here.

"Haha. I didn't expect your reaction to being like that, no. I never expected to see this, you were always reserved and noble." He told me that he would laugh even more.

I was suddenly surprised by his last words. Reserve and noble. When did I become a reserve? And besides noble?

"When did I turn to be reserved and noble?" I asked wonderingly. She seems like she knows me longer than I do.

"Ah-ah... never mind. It was just a slip of the tongue. I mean, you are cool but you just suddenly freaked out." This is a quick explanation.

I just wanna roll my eyes because I feel like it's just blowing me away. But what can I do, even if I twist it, it won't tell the truth.

"August, since we are alone in the vicinity, let's take the chance of strolling the area. Game?" It's a promise. I nodded and got excited. I will be strolling the campus vicinity. "But before that, let's get your uniform done." He said and pulled me towards the tailor.

•••

I almost got pissed off at the uniform sizer. It's weird to measure. A lot of things were measured on me as well as my head. Hell. Maybe he wants to measure my hair.

But fortunately, we ended there peacefully and there was no fight. It's a good thing I have a lot of patience because otherwise, I would have missed it.

Gen and I are currently walking in the Celestial Circle building. That is the name of the building since the occupants are celestial ladies. Gen taught me where my room was for each subject. It is not difficult to find because the design of the building is not complex.

"What about you, Gen. What building are you in?" I have a question here. I've been with him for a while but I know almost nothing about him.

"I am under with Holy knight." This is the answer.

Holy night? Isn't that a song? Oh holy night, the stars are shining brightly it is the night of our dear savior's birth. I really can still sing!

"Are you a singer?" Suddenly I asked.

She looked at me incredulously like I was saying some shit. "What do you mean?"

What do you mean? Ooh ooh... why is it just a song? "I mean what is a holy night?" I just asked.

(Obviously, they are talking about 2 different things.)

"Holy knights are the best knights in the Academy. We train ourselves with combat battles." This is the answer.

I stopped. Holy knight and not night. Nights seem to do good things ah! Based on hearing the information knights are skilled with swordsmanship, more with actions. Can I switch to Holy knight?

"Can I change course?" I ask here. Maybe it's not a bad thing to shift, right?

He looked at me stupidly. It's like saying it's impossible because I can't. "Just follow what the council provided. The knight thing is a limitation." This is the answer.

I was confused by his answer but I only understood one thing. I am not allowed to transfer and the reason might be, that I am just a human. My conclusion seems racist, doesn't it? But that's what entered my mind. But I just decided not to ask about it. Maybe I'm just stuck in the truth.

"This is the gathering field. When there is an activity or program, it is held here." Gen said.

We are standing right now at the very entrance of an open field with plane green grass. It is very wide and surrounded by the four buildings of Knight Circle, Celestial Circle, Government Circle, and Advanced Technology Circle. If you are wondering what is Government Circle, they are the students who intend to enter the politics of Pandora. They have to learn the rules and policies governing their people so there is a high chance that they will get a position. Advanced Technology or AdTech are the ones who make weapons, shields, and armor in the most advanced concepts. They are like scientists who need to do something that no one else has done. And if you are wondering how did I know that, of course, Gen told me earlier.

"Wow! This is ten times better than the auditorium!" The skies are so clear, the heat of the sun might not matter because I noticed that the heat doesn't hurt the skin. Unlike Earth, you can feel global warming.

"Whatever that is, I am particularly sure you are correct." This is the answer.

Then we head back to go home when the crimson sky is slowly approaching.

My beginning in Pandora started in a way that is not favorable on my side, but I will make sure to make a better end with it.
