In the middle of the night, Amelia felt restless; she couldn't sleep. She was scared that, for the first time in a long while, she might just end up losing her job. She knew how strict her boss could be. She insisted on apologizing for her behavior the following morning, hoping her boss would be in a good mood by then.
The next morning was bright and shiny, and the weather seemed cool and uplifting. Amelia trembled as she brought breakfast to the table, as her boss, Maxmillian, was already seated in the dining chair. He watched her lustfully, sensing the fear in her while placing the tray of food on the dining table. "What is wrong with you?" Maxmillian Knight asked her. His voice sounded soft once again, so Amelia felt at ease talking to him. She figured that it might be the right time to apologize for her misdoings the previous night. But the look in Maxmillian's eyes gave a different expression than that of his voice. His voice was soft and soothing, but the look in his eyes seemed frightening and gruesome. "Nothing," Amelia responded. But just as she was about to leave him, he held her wrist and looked at her straight in the eyes. Amelia shivered. As she turned her back to look at her boss, Maxmillian had already let go of her wrist and began to concentrate on the food. "If you have something to say, you had better lay it out now that I'm in a good mood, or forever hold your peace," he commanded. His tone had changed again, echoing through the quietness of the dining room. Amelia turned and faced him, watching him put a spoon of well-cooked meat into his mouth. "Hope... Hope the food is okay?" she asked, stammering in fear. "What?" Maxmillian asked. "Uhm, you complained the other night about the meal, you didn't give me the chance to apologize. That's why I looked worried," Amelia said. "Were you expecting a complaint from me this time?" Maxmillian asked, staring at her awkwardly. "Not really. I just thought..." "You can leave now," Maxmillian commanded. Amelia knew he was full of pride. She also knew that if she didn't apologize at that moment, she might never get the chance to apologize again. "I'm sorry," she said, drowning in fear. Never once had she disobeyed her master's order. "I asked you to leave," Maxmillian snapped. He stood up provocatively from where he sat, embedding fear into Amelia. "I'm sorry I slept on your couch unknowingly yesterday. I saw how mad you were; it threatened my job," Amelia added. Maxmillian became more upset. He knew he couldn't stay mad at Amelia for a long time due to the intense feelings he had for her, so instead, he decided to walk out of the dining room. "What should I do to get even with you?" Amelia asked. "What?" Maxmillian turned back at her. "What did you say?" he asked again, pretending he didn't hear the first time. "You know what, sir, I'm done. I can't do this anymore. Your rude, arrogant, and proud behavior. I'm sorry I can't take them anymore. I have done everything within my power to please you, but it's obvious you're just too difficult. I have tolerated your insults day and night. Yet you see no wrong in what you do to me. You don't even show the slightest feeling of remorse. I know I'm just your maid, but I am only human, just like you. I have feelings too, you know," Amelia cried out. Her heart was beating fast uncontrollably. She paused for a while, staring at Maxmillian. Deep down within her, she was scared. Even as handsome as he was, she was frightened by the way he stared at her without saying a word. "I'm sorry if there's any pain I have caused you. I hope you'll find it easy to forgive me, and that the next maiden won't make the same mistake I made. I can't stay here anymore, sir." Amelia added. Tears rolled down her cheek as she spoke. Immediately, she left the dining room for her room to pack her belongings. It was at that moment Maxmillian knew what hit him. He knew he couldn't let her go. He knew the mad feeling he had for her and that he'd be utterly helpless without her, unable to think properly. He began panicking, sweating under the cold weather emanating from the air conditioning planted in every corner of the house. He made the decision to tell Amelia the truth, why he had been acting up, and confess his intense feelings for her. It was almost noon, Amelia was gathering all her belongings, sobbing really hard as she folded her clothes neatly into her box because she knew deep down that she had nowhere else to go. The moment she was done, she arranged the room properly and kept everywhere clean. She carried her box, approached the door, and opened it, only to find her boss, Maxmillian, standing in front of her door with both his hands in his pockets. "What are you doing?" he asked calmly. Surprised to see him at her door, she had no idea he knew the way to her room. She remembered when she first came into the house, Maxmillian had asked her to take any room of her choice, pending the fact that there were lots of rooms in the building. "How did you know this is my room?" Amelia asked. "This is my house," Maxmillian replied. "What do you think you are doing?" he asked again. "I'm leaving," Amelia replied. "I didn't ask you to leave," Maxmillian said. "You didn't have to say it. All of your actions spoke loud and clear. I do hate to say this, but it's a fact that I'm making you uncomfortable in your house," Amelia replied. Maxmillian stared at her for a while, still standing at the entrance of her door. He noticed that Amelia couldn't keep a straight gaze at him for a second, he noticed how she was afraid to even look at him. He walked slowly into Amelia's room, shutting the door behind him. Amelia drifted back, wondering what he was about to do.Maxmillian Knight, as mighty as he felt he was, had to confess what he felt. He knew it was only that way Amelia would agree to stay back. He collected Amelia's box from her and gently began to unpack her clothes and hang them inside the wardrobe. "What are you doing?" Amelia yelled. "You can't leave," Maxmillian replied. "And why is that?" she asked. "Because!!!" He paused, stared at her, and noticed how her eyes almost shimmered with tears. He drew closer to her. "I'm sorry," he apologized. "Hmm?" "I'm sorry, Amelia. I didn't mean to make you feel this way," he said. "There's something I have to tell you," he said. "What are you talking about?" Amelia asked him. "All of these things I did to you weren't intentional. I have never meant to hurt you. Everything I did was... for me," Maxmillian added. "I'm lost," Amelia replied. "I have had this weird feeling for you for a very long time now. I thought yelling at you or forcing myself to hate you would change that. So, I purpo
It's been three years since Amelia and Maxmillian were in a relationship. They have both had their different complicated days and good days. Aside from the fun they had as couples. Sharing meals, cuddles, kisses. Every romantic moment they spent, Maxmillian had never made any sexual attempt on Amelia, even when she most times craved sexual pleasure and satisfaction. The night was cold and thunderous. Heavy rain poured, emanating from the dark cloud which covered the sky. Maxmillian and Amelia retired to bed, cuddling each other. His muscled arms were cupped around her fragile waist, while her head was gently placed on his chest. Suddenly, she began caressing and kissing every part of Maxmillian's body. The intense moment made Maxmillian wake up instantly. Feeling every touch Amelia had poured out on him, he knew what she wanted. He knew how horny she was but denied her the pleasure she wanted."What is wrong with you, Max? Ever since we've been together, all you do is ignore me
"A Hundred and fifty years ago, at a bar in a hotel. Do you remember the lady you made out with? The lady you told all your problems to while you were drunk and wasted?" Grace asked."What?" Maxmillian exclaimed, looking unsure of what Grace said."That was a hundred and fifty years ago. How are you both still alive?" he asked curiously."Alexander here is the product of that night," Grace said, pointing at Alexander, who kept glaring at Maxmillian."Good day, Father," Alexander greeted. His voice was thick and deep. "You look so confused. I thought you'd be happy to see me. Mum was right after all," Alexander added."I need you both to leave my house immediately," Maxmillian commanded."That is not going to happen," Grace objected. "Alexander is your blood, and you will, and must treat him like one," Grace declared."I don't want to disrespect you…""Or what?" Grace barked. "I have taken care of your son for the past hundred and fifty years, and now he's able to see his father, you w
It took Maxmillian about an hour to figure out Amelia's location. He found both Amelia and his son, Alexander, at a restaurant close to the park, and just immediately rushed into the restaurant to get her."What are you doing here?" Maxmillian asked her."Oh, hi father. Amelia and I were just catching on," Alexander answered.Maxmillian became more upset, and he dragged Alexander by his shirt collar."Never in your life refer to me as Father, ever again" Maxmillian warned, his voice deep and clear."But he is your son," Amelia interrupted. "Stay out of this," Maxmillian said, confronting Amelia. He immediately let go of Alexander's shirt, he took Amelia by her wrist, dragging her out of the restaurant against her will, leaving Alexander there alone. "Stop pushing me Max, you are hurting my wrist," Amelia pleaded. As they got to the park, Maxmillian released Amelia's hand from his grip. He stared at her miserably, totally dumbfounded. "Why?" Maxmillian asked, "I know we have our iss
The atmosphere became intense. Maxmillian flared angrily. "You both can't stay here" he barked. He's voice tumbled wide."You can't throw us out, Maxmillian Knight. We are your famil. Your blood", Grace Monroe said. "Oh, I am not throwing you out completely. You can't just stay here with I and Amelia. I have provided an apartment for you and your son. You can have it all to yourself for as long as you want." Maxmillian said."Your son? Maxmillian, I need to remind you that Alexander is OUR son. And there is nothing wrong with a son knowing where his father is staying..." "You have overstayed your welcome Grace. I don't see anything wrong with what you did. I will take full responsibility for you and Alexander. But until then, I need you both to leave. Amelia is not comfortable with you both in this house". Maxmillian concluded,"You are throwing your family out of your house because of a stranger?" Grace Monroe asked."Stranger!!!" Amelia yelled curiously."A complete human?" Grac
Maxmillian stared at Grace Monroe from beside the door where he stood. "What do you mean? I have never hurt Amelia, and i would never hurt her", Maxmillian confessed. "Are you sure? Because that wasn't what Alexander told me?" Grace added."Alexander doesn't know anything about Amelia and I""But he knows enough to see that you starve her sexually. After all, she's human, isn't she? And you don't want your cute little human to turn into a monster, like you did to me", Grace yelled frustratingly."Whatever happened to you was entirely your fault" Maxmillian said."I didn't get myself pregnant. You were the one who couldn't control that thing down there....""You drugged me" Maxmillian yelled."So I'm guessing you are not strong enough then." She smirked "just as I thought."What have you come here to do?" Maxmillian asked. "I have given you enough, Grace. I need you and your son out of my life." "Our SON Maxmillian. Alexander belongs to us both", Grace added."Not anymore, you watch
"Go to the car and wait for me Amelia", Maxmillian commanded."I'm sorry" Amelia cried out."Just do as I have said" Maxmillian ordered.Just as Amelia left the roof, Maxmillian and Alexander got into a fierce battle, which made both of them bleed, until Grace came to separate them."What is wrong with you both?" Grace yelled. "Do you want to kill my son over a mere stranger?" "You both are strangers. You have come to ruin my life. The two of you should go back where you came from. You are not welcome here, Maxmillian yelled." "You have no right to tell us what to do, where to go and definitely not who to kiss, because I enjoyed my lips going into Amelia's", Alexander added.Maxmillian became more furious, he tried to hit Alexander again, but Grace stood immediately in front of her son. "Touch him one more time and you will feel my wrath", Grace Monroe warned. Her eyes were fierce and scary. She was able to control her emotions just like Maxmillian. "From my blood you both are m
"Really?" Amelia asked "Of course. I don't want to hide anything from you, Amelia," Maxmillian confessed."Okay. I'm listening." Amelia said softly, sitting at the edge of the bed, while patiently waiting for Maxmillian explanation.Maxmillian grabbed a chair that was situated in the corner of his room. He pulled the chair in front of Amelia. Stared at her for some minutes, and cleared his throat. All of this time he wasted, he was busy thinking of lies to come up with, to tell Amelia, since he wasn't ready to let Amelia know who he was. "I'm sorry I haven't been completely honest with you, Amelia. I know there are a lot of questions you wish to ask and dozens of answers you seek." Maxmillian started."Exactly. You haven't completely explained to me what's going on between you, Grace, and Alexander, and somehow I get mixed up in your drama. I feel I'm the center of all this trauma. One minute you are agreeing that they are your family , and the next minute, you are saying you don't
