In the middle of the night, Amelia felt restless; she couldn't sleep. She was scared that, for the first time in a long while, she might just end up losing her job. She knew how strict her boss could be. She insisted on apologizing for her behavior the following morning, hoping her boss would be in a good mood by then.
The next morning was bright and shiny, and the weather seemed cool and uplifting. Amelia trembled as she brought breakfast to the table, as her boss, Maxmillian, was already seated in the dining chair. He watched her lustfully, sensing the fear in her while placing the tray of food on the dining table. "What is wrong with you?" Maxmillian Knight asked her. His voice sounded soft once again, so Amelia felt at ease talking to him. She figured that it might be the right time to apologize for her misdoings the previous night. But the look in Maxmillian's eyes gave a different expression than that of his voice. His voice was soft and soothing, but the look in his eyes seemed frightening and gruesome. "Nothing," Amelia responded. But just as she was about to leave him, he held her wrist and looked at her straight in the eyes. Amelia shivered. As she turned her back to look at her boss, Maxmillian had already let go of her wrist and began to concentrate on the food. "If you have something to say, you had better lay it out now that I'm in a good mood, or forever hold your peace," he commanded. His tone had changed again, echoing through the quietness of the dining room. Amelia turned and faced him, watching him put a spoon of well-cooked meat into his mouth. "Hope... Hope the food is okay?" she asked, stammering in fear. "What?" Maxmillian asked. "Uhm, you complained the other night about the meal, you didn't give me the chance to apologize. That's why I looked worried," Amelia said. "Were you expecting a complaint from me this time?" Maxmillian asked, staring at her awkwardly. "Not really. I just thought..." "You can leave now," Maxmillian commanded. Amelia knew he was full of pride. She also knew that if she didn't apologize at that moment, she might never get the chance to apologize again. "I'm sorry," she said, drowning in fear. Never once had she disobeyed her master's order. "I asked you to leave," Maxmillian snapped. He stood up provocatively from where he sat, embedding fear into Amelia. "I'm sorry I slept on your couch unknowingly yesterday. I saw how mad you were; it threatened my job," Amelia added. Maxmillian became more upset. He knew he couldn't stay mad at Amelia for a long time due to the intense feelings he had for her, so instead, he decided to walk out of the dining room. "What should I do to get even with you?" Amelia asked. "What?" Maxmillian turned back at her. "What did you say?" he asked again, pretending he didn't hear the first time. "You know what, sir, I'm done. I can't do this anymore. Your rude, arrogant, and proud behavior. I'm sorry I can't take them anymore. I have done everything within my power to please you, but it's obvious you're just too difficult. I have tolerated your insults day and night. Yet you see no wrong in what you do to me. You don't even show the slightest feeling of remorse. I know I'm just your maid, but I am only human, just like you. I have feelings too, you know," Amelia cried out. Her heart was beating fast uncontrollably. She paused for a while, staring at Maxmillian. Deep down within her, she was scared. Even as handsome as he was, she was frightened by the way he stared at her without saying a word. "I'm sorry if there's any pain I have caused you. I hope you'll find it easy to forgive me, and that the next maiden won't make the same mistake I made. I can't stay here anymore, sir." Amelia added. Tears rolled down her cheek as she spoke. Immediately, she left the dining room for her room to pack her belongings. It was at that moment Maxmillian knew what hit him. He knew he couldn't let her go. He knew the mad feeling he had for her and that he'd be utterly helpless without her, unable to think properly. He began panicking, sweating under the cold weather emanating from the air conditioning planted in every corner of the house. He made the decision to tell Amelia the truth, why he had been acting up, and confess his intense feelings for her. It was almost noon, Amelia was gathering all her belongings, sobbing really hard as she folded her clothes neatly into her box because she knew deep down that she had nowhere else to go. The moment she was done, she arranged the room properly and kept everywhere clean. She carried her box, approached the door, and opened it, only to find her boss, Maxmillian, standing in front of her door with both his hands in his pockets. "What are you doing?" he asked calmly. Surprised to see him at her door, she had no idea he knew the way to her room. She remembered when she first came into the house, Maxmillian had asked her to take any room of her choice, pending the fact that there were lots of rooms in the building. "How did you know this is my room?" Amelia asked. "This is my house," Maxmillian replied. "What do you think you are doing?" he asked again. "I'm leaving," Amelia replied. "I didn't ask you to leave," Maxmillian said. "You didn't have to say it. All of your actions spoke loud and clear. I do hate to say this, but it's a fact that I'm making you uncomfortable in your house," Amelia replied. Maxmillian stared at her for a while, still standing at the entrance of her door. He noticed that Amelia couldn't keep a straight gaze at him for a second, he noticed how she was afraid to even look at him. He walked slowly into Amelia's room, shutting the door behind him. Amelia drifted back, wondering what he was about to do.Maxmillian knight had taken Amelia and Jason to the pack, where he was certain that they will be safe and protected. On getting there he asked the shape- shifting soldiers if anyone have seen, or heard from Aleah, or any idea which road she took, but their response seemed negative."I'm coming with you" Amelia told him."You are not." Maxmillian replied, not ready to listen to her."You don't understand. I have to__""I am your Alpha and you will do as I say Amelia!!!." Maxmillian yelled. His voice echoing around the Walls of the hidden pack. He looked at everyone and watched as they all stared at him In fright. "This is not a topic up for discussion Amelia. You can't come with me""Keep being delusional. You think I'm going to let you put my baby at risk this time again? You couldn't even handle Grace and Alexander. Alpha my foot." Grace insulted. Walking out on Maxmillian. "You can keep sleeping around, making love with everything you see for all I care. But one thing I Know for cer
Amelia was forcefully dragged into the room by one of Alexander's guards, her arms held tightly. The moment she saw Maxmillian chained, a wave of panic swept over her. She desperately wanted to run to him but was held back by the sight of what had weakened him."What have you done to him?" she cried out. "Release him this instant!" she demanded."On whose orders?" Grace interjected, her tone mocking."Mine," Amelia replied confidently. "Where is my son? Where is my baby?""You might never see them again if you don’t cooperate," Alexander interrupted coldly."You!" Amelia spat, fury and hatred burning in her eyes. "I curse the day I met you. I wish Maxmillian had killed you the moment you set foot in our home.""You mean my home?" Alexander sneered."Your home? Keep dreaming. You’ll never—""Never what?" Alexander interrupted again, his smirk widening. "If you're thinking of that moment... yes, we already had our time together while you were still our hostage.""What? That's not true,"
Gerald had Gone so far that it was hard for anyone to trace him and the baby. Aleah had no option than to seek help from some of the tamed soldiers in the pack. They scavenged through every nook and cranny of the forest but they couldn't find Gerald. "Where would he have gone to?" Aleah asked rhetorically, as she watched her men still search profusely, following the wolf scent that led them to no destination. "You all can go back to the pack, I will take it from here" Aleah commanded. Her soldiers felt ignorant. They wanted to help catch Gerald badly. They hated the fact that he even existed at all. after hearing a lot of terrible things about him. "This is not your fight." Aleah told them. "All of you combined can't defeat Gerald__""Are you underestimating us?" Derrick asked."Of course not." Aleah replied, feeling guilty. She knew in her heart that they would all be dead at one slight glance from Gerald. "Gerald is not someone to be joked with. You can go back to the pack and a
A few minutes after Maxmillian’s connection with Jason faded, Amelia gave birth to a baby girl. Maxmillian could feel the child's presence, sensing her arrival into the world."I have a niece now," Aleah said to Maxmillian, who was still deep in meditation. He let out a faint, tender smile."You can feel that too?" Maxmillian asked."Of course, everyone can feel it. Everyone knows another shape-shifter has been born," Aleah added, crouching to face him. "Her mere presence strikes fear into the hearts of evil. You must protect her at all costs. If not, you will lose everything.""She’s protected. She’s in a place no one can reach, where no one can harm her," Maxmillian replied confidently."Let’s hope so," Aleah responded.Unspeakable joy filled Maxmillian’s heart. He tried to contain his excitement, but it was still evident. Their hunt for Gerald continued, but they had no idea that they were already too late. A message came from Aleah’s hideout—Derrick had left the pack to deliver so
Amelia and Jeremy were still trapped in the strange world where Maxmillian Knight had left them. Although Amelia was with her son, Jason, she seemed unhappy being apart from her husband. It had been a month since Maxmillian abandoned her in the house with the midwife, who, according to Maxmillian, was responsible for her well-being.Jeremy did everything he could to stay on Maxmillian's good side and gain his trust. He protected Amelia as best as he could, even though he knew he lacked the true spirit of an Alpha."Mummy, when is Daddy coming to take us back home?" Jason asked innocently."Very soon, Jason," Amelia replied, groaning in pain.Heavily pregnant and nearing her due date, she walked slowly across the room, pacing from one side to the other with one hand on her lower back."This isn’t my first delivery; why is the pain so much?" Amelia asked, looking uncomfortable."The child is ready to come out. I think you're about to go into labor," the midwife replied coldly, preparing
The moment Alexander woke up, he found himself locked in a room, alongside his mother. Both of them felt weak and helpless. Alexander groaned in pain from the kick Aleah had landed on his face, which had knocked him out.“Where is this place?” Alexander asked Grace weakly.“I have no idea, son. But I think Maxmillian and Aleah brought us here,” Grace replied. She got up and tried to move, but realized there were heavy chains on her legs. “Alex?” Grace called out for help. But when Alexander stood up, he found himself chained as well.“What is this? How dare she chain us like dogs!” Alexander exclaimed, struggling to free himself.“What’s happening to you? Why are you so weak all of a sudden, Alex?” Grace asked.“I have no idea,” Alexander replied. He looked around the empty room. There were no windows, no other doors, and nothing else. The room had only a red bulb that shone dimly. Alexander continued struggling against the chains, but it was no use.“Don’t fight it,” Aleah said, barg
