The next couple weeks are more of the same. They go to school, train, and hang out in the downtime they have. Sometimes Tyler ends up dragged into some semi-official alpha education with Alpha Lars. Until one day at training. Roger shouts for everyone to get back to the pack house immediately.
"What's going on?" Vincent asks. Before he can answer they hear shouting and growling in the distance."Rogues!" Someone shouts."Get him out of here," Roger looks at Lia gesturing to Tyler."Me?""You know the woods best, I know you can do this." Roger mind links her as he heads in the direction of growling. "Go now!""Just follow me!" Lia shouts to the group. Tyler and Jael nod and follow her."Who put you in charge?!" Vincent shouts."Roger, duh!" Jael asserts."Or don't follow, it's your life!" She shouts back."Shouldn't we help?" Tyler asks as they hurry towards the main pack territory. They aren't going too fast so that the group can stay together."Not our job yet," one of the other students says."I know but-""A visiting Alpha's son gets mauled in a Rogues attack. Oh your dad will love that headline," Jael says."I can hold my own," Tyler grumbles."I'm sure you can," Lia says as they clear a downed tree. "But Roger says go, we go." She adds more to herself than to the others. "They say run, you run. Always." Tyler didn't miss the added bit.The pack house is a chaotic mass of activity as they get close. She is just about to tell them to go when Hannah, the pack Gamma's mate sees them."Alpha Tyler, there you are! This way. All of you." She leads them into the heart of the pack house. Where many of the families and children have been gathered. "Stay here." She hurries off."Tyler!" Gemma comes rushing over to him. "I'm glad you're okay.""Did you think he wasn't?" Jael asks."You were all in the woods, and if you haven't noticed, rogues are attacking." Gemma glares."We should be doing more," Tyler says."Nonsense, that is what the warriors are trained for," Gemma states."What do you think we were training for?" He looks at her."You're not a warrior," Gemma adds.Jael gasps. Lia groans. That was the wrong answer."No, I'm an alpha," he growls. "And alpha's don't run from a fight.""Then why are you-" Gemma starts."If you want to help, then help them." Lia interrupts, gestures to people. "You can stand here and be annoyed or you can use your other skills and help the pack." She goes over to help a woman that is holding a towel to her shoulder. She carefully looks at the injury. "It's already healing, just try to not to move it too much. She goes to find someone else that needs help. She isn't surprised when a small force slams into her legs."It's okay, Saige," Lia smiles and pick the small child up. "Nothing you dads and the others can't handle."She hears a huff of a laugh and turns to see a frazzled female omega. "I should have known she would run off to find you.""Hi Lori," Lia smiles."You shouldn't run off from Lori like that, not in an emergency, kiddo," Lia says to the little girl. "It's dangerous.""But it's you!" Saige grins.Lia chuckles. "I know but your dads entrust Lori to look after you during the day. That's her job. You wouldn't want your dads to be upset with Lori, do you?""It's okay," Lori smiles. "This time. She is her father's daughter and you are Roger's star pupil.""He was my dad's best student for a reason.""That he was."Tyler looked up when he heard Lia laugh. He was shocked to find her standing there with a small child on her hip having a normal conversation. He gets an elbow to the ribs and growls."Oh stop it, I only did it because someone is going to catch you drooling over Lia. And you're lucky that someone is me," Jael smirks"I wasnt-""Sure Tyler.""Who is that?" Tyler asks, ignoring her sarcasm."Lori, she's an omega that helps look after some of the tots. She's a cousin of Roger's mate. If you mean the little girl, that's Roger's daughter, Saige. Lia watches her sometimes on weekends. Saige is practically her shadow when she's around.""Huh, guess I didn't realize Lia was that close with Roger. I mean I figured she was just his favorite because she has those championships.""Oh no, Roger was her dad's best student. Linus taught Roger everything he knows, so when Linus was killed in an attack, Roger stepped up and helped look after Lia and her siblings. Then when Nash was old enough he took over guardianship and Roger started his own family. So Saige is basically her little sister.""So Roger is like her dad," Tyler reasoned."Oh big time, he just tries to not let it show too much during training. He doesn't want her getting singled out any more than she already is."Luna Colette watched with pride as not only was her son being declared Alpha of the Valom Moon Pack, but the love of his life was by his side and being declared the pack Luna. They had been married in a small ceremony made up of members of Valor Moon and Haven River packs. Dahlia had been a beautiful bride who had happily given her hand to Tyler but sworn herself to the Valor Moon Pack in the process. Colette had never seen her son exude so much love and happiness. But today was a close second. She watches as the new Alpha swears his officers. Nix was being sworn in as his delta. Sam and Wendall had already sworn their oath of fealty and taken their place beside the new Alpha and Luna as Beta and Gamma. The new Gamma’s father had been one of Maxwell's most trusted advisors in the pack. Wendall had been chosen when Nash had turned down the role. The new Luna’s brother had wanted to stay to take Lia's spot alongside James as pack liason. The ceremony was officially wrapping up. "Did we
Dahlia runs and hugs Tyler as soon as she sees him. The young Alpha catches her easily and hugs her tight. Inhaling her scent and smiling. Valens howls in his mind at having Nova so close."I missed you," she says. And she means it. Once she decided what future she wanted. What her heart wanted. She had wanted to just run to him, again."Missed you too," he smiles. "And not that I'm complaining, but what are you doing here?" He sets her back on her feet as he asks. He hadn't expected her to visit so soon. They both had to finish school and she'd already missed days."I've been thinking about it and…I pick you."Tyler had not expected anything like that. He studies her face for any hint of doubt. "Really? You'll give up everything you worked for in your pack, to be
Lia knocks on the open office door, and James grins as she walks in.“How’d your first day back go, Petal?” James says as he gets up from his desk. She gives him a hug.“I have a lot of homework, but Roger said I could skip training tomorrow to work on it,” she tells him.“That’s nice of him,” James says as she takes her usual seat. James leans against his desk. “Not that I’m complaining, but what’s up? I’m assuming you’re here for more than just procrastinating on said homework? Though, for the record, you are always welcome here or pretty much anywhere I am.”“Has Nash talked to you about the whole gamma thing?”
"You're home!" Saige runs over and hugs Lia as soon as Cam sets her down inside her and Nash's home."I am. Hi Cam." Lia laughs, scooping her up and setting her against her hip. "Nash is too.""Nashy!" Saige shouts, basically into Lia's ear, when she sees him. Lia flinches. Nova, despite the volume, chuckles. The pup was so happy it was contagious."Hey Kid," Nash grins, he ruffles the 4-year-old's hair as he goes past her into the living room. Saige giggles. "Cam." Nash nods a greeting."Glad to see you both back on one piece," Cam says."Got iffy there for a bit," Nash admits. "George wouldn't have if Soren had his way.""Nash…" Lia shakes her head as Na
Jael squeals and nearly tackles Lia as she walks through the doors of their school."I thought you weren't going to be here until lunch?" Jael smiles. She had missed her best friend."I've already missed too many classes. I don't want to fall behind," Lia tells her. "And I missed you guys.""Good, because everyone missed you too." The bell rang and they had to hurry off to class.Roger grins as Jael and Lia walk onto the training grounds. "How are you feeling, Lia?""Much better," she smiles and hugs him."How's the family?""Saige has perfected her pout after how many times she was told you still were visitin
As that is happening, the Alpha of the Valor Moon Pack approaches the remaining members of the Haven Moon Pack, Alpha Lars, Beta Oliver who is holding his son, his daughter is with Gamma Beckett, and a few Warriors."I am so sorry for what has happened," Alpha Lars tells him. "We never expected things to get this out of hand. We were hoping to handle this internally, but we are grateful for your assistance. I hope this will not damage future relations between our packs and the alliance."Maxwell nods. "Alpha Lars, we appreciate your haste and handling of this particular situation," Alpha Maxwell starts, sending an unamused look at the beta and his son. "I know this cannot have been an easy situation to handle considering it involved the families of both your Beta and Delta." He looks back towards his packhouse where his family is now safe inside. "I don't
