Birthday gift

Natalia's POV

I woke up the next morning to a knock on my door, and I wondered who it was. I didn't respond anyway, because I did not feel like seeing anyone at all this morning. But the door eventually opened, and Aaron peeked his head in and my heart raced. I remembered what transpired between us yesterday. I had tried to kill him.

After my encounter with Kenneth, I felt so bad, so hurt. I wanted to be mad a Kenneth, to curse him, to hit him, but I knew that he would never had tried that if my father was still alive. He was only messing with me because he knew that he could, and he would get away with it. Then Aaron came there, acting like a saviour, putting Kenneth in his place, but why would he be the one to save me, when he was the one who caused me so much pain to begin with?

Then I felt this clenching pain, this desire to make him pay. That was when I decided to end him. I took the knife and coated it with wolfsbane, hoping to plunge it deep into his heart until he dies.
