"Sera?"

I called her out to get her attention since she looked a little lost. I was on my way back to my office when I heard her inquiring about some herbs which were meant for werewolves. I wasn't sure where she was getting at with her line of questioning but the last thing I wanted her was to get high on herbs meant for werewolves. I had had a first hand experience of those and knew how potent they could be. But the girl refused to spill the beans. I was about to turn my attention to Alex, hoping to extract some information out of him when I saw her moving.

She was up on her feet and in the next two seconds, she was already standing before me. Her eyebrows were drawn together, frustration etched on her face. Her eyes searched mine as if looking for something in particular. Before I knew what was happening, she had her arms wrapped around my torso and her face pressed flat against my bare chest. My skin buzzed with a different kind of sensation under her soft touch.
