Seraphine

"Seraphine, is it?"

A voice interrupted my thought process, bringing my attention to its owner. I tore my gaze away from the cases pages and turned around to face them.

A girl stood in my line of vision, seemingly shy, as she played with the hem of her jacket.

"Yes?" I spoke up on realizing that she was not going to continue. "You have got the right person." I added after a small pause as I continued to eye her up and down. It wasn't that I waa judging her, but rather wanted to see if I can put her somewhat in my mind. It was one of my newly adapted habits. Alaris taught me to always gauge the other because one's body language could give away a lot.

'Alaris…'

The thought of him left a bittersweet feeling behind. I had been missing him quite a lot recently. Day one of our trip wasn't even over yet, and there I was, sulking like a lovesick fool.
