Chapter one

Hannah POV

    The morning, I was happy more than before because I was finally living my dream proving to my dad that being a lady is never a barrier, after running away from home after he tries to force me into an arranged marriage, I have been trying to get back at him and now I can say it to his face that I am rich without him.

     my best friend Gabriel has assisted me to get land in one community, I was scared when I first got there because that place was surrounded by forest, after much persuasion, I finally brought it and build my company naming it Hannah's corporations.

   I was proud of myself as I dressed myself this morning getting ready to go to work, I got out of my house and makes sure to lock my door because this environment used to send some shrive down my skin, I sometimes hear howls at night, I saw my neighbor and greeted her but she did not answer, that is not new to me because aside at work, no one ever talks to me in this community, they don't even answer my greetings.

        Getting to work, I went to my office and start my work, it was always hectic since it's new and I am still trying to get everything in order, my phone rang, I checked it and saw that it was Gabriel calling "hello" I said into the phone

"if I didn't call, you won't call" he scolded

"I am sorry but you know I am still trying to settle in well"

"about that, have you gone to meet the alpha," he asked

I didn't understand the question " alpha, what are you talking about, are you drinking this early again"

"shit, I am in trouble for bringing you here, he is back and Hannah you need to go see him"

"are you sure you are okay," I asked again

"I will be at your office this evening so that I can take you to him," he said before he start to mumble something to himself about someone killing him

"Are you in danger, is someone threatening you," I asked  "did my father contact you again" I furthermore

"you know I am not scared of your father Hannah, don't worry I will explain everything to you in the evening," he said before ending the call

    I was still shocked when a call came through to my intercom telling me I have a visitor downstairs, I told her to let them in without even thinking while I place the call down back.

some minute later, I saw two men talking to my P. A who point to where I was, I couldn't take my eyes off one of them, it was captivating, controlling myself, I smiled at them as my p.a usher them in "Good afternoon gentlemen" I greeted while offering them seats

The second guy answered while the one that got my attention kept staring at me, it was kind of getting awkward while I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, the second guy tap him and he regain himself back "I am sorry" he apologized

"what can we do for you here," I asked the usual questions I ask everyone that come to see me

"my name is Eric," the second guy said "and this is my boss Liam," he said referring to the mystery guy that got my attention

"who gave you permission to build on my land," he said impolitely like the introduction was boring him

"excuse me" I don't seem to know what he is talking about and suddenly I remember what Gabriel said earlier, could this be the guy.

"I want this building down by tomorrow and you off my land," he said

"Who are you to come into my office to tell me what to do" yea, I was getting angry, this guy is beginning to get on my nerves

he was stunned at the way I replied to him but he was quick to mask it with another expression "you don't want to know me young lady because I will be your worst nightmare if you don't do as I say"

"is your friend a psychopath," I asked Eric

"it's best if you do as he said," he said like he was advising me

they must be joking, this is my company, I brought it with my hard earn money and they can't just march in here and tell me what to do "you know what, I don't have time for all of this and I will like you both to leave my office now"

"Are you challenging me" Liam raise his chin at me facing me and for a moment I was mesmerized by his blue eyes

what with this guy and why does he affect me in this manner "please leave my office now"

"you will regret this," he said getting up from his chair and walking out with his friend behind him, his friend gave me a sympathetic look before they finally disappear from my view.

I sighed, I wanted to call Gabriel back but decide against it since he will be coming later to your office in the evening, I decided to go on my lunch break before I collapse myself.

Liam POV

   The lady in front of me isn't my mate, but then I could still smell her which means she is not far away, my wolf was celebrating in my head, I was happy too but I can't show someone my weakness, Eric asked her something to which I can't fathom because I wasn't listening but she started to lead us toward another office and then I saw her, she was pretty and elegant, her golden hair was touching her shoulder.

"is that our Luna" I heard Eric asking in my head

I smiled at the thought of making her my Luna already "yes she is"

"but she is a human," he said making me realize that my mate was a human and she can't feel the pull like I was, I was angry immediately with my wolf crying in my head not happy that our mate can't love us like we are going to love her "she needs to leave," I told Eric through our mind link

"but, she is our Luna" he was going to protect her, he was already feeling the need to make sure she was safe

"damn it, she is human"

he didn't reply to me ad he was introducing us "who gave you permission to build on my land," I asked, I am going to kill the bastard who dare bring a human to my land

I know she heard me but pretending not to, I asked her again and this time telling her also to leave my land, Eric was talking to me on my head but I kept shutting him off, I knew I was going to regret this.

she is bossy and fierce be side she told us to leave her office, I was stunned by the way she was talking to me,  but what she doesn't know is that no one talks to me in such a manner, I face her and I saw her lost meaning she can still feel the mate pull even though she is human, I was happy with that information and was happy to leave when she told us to leave again.

   when we got back outside, Eric was all in my face "how could you treat our  Luna in such a way"

"do you know if she wants to be your Luna, she is not a werewolf-like us" I reminded him

"but she is your mate, the moon goddess pair the both of you"

"technically, she made a mistake pairing me up with her" I responded

"I know you are just scared if she won't accept you" he said

that was the truth o was running away from "Eric" I screamed into his face "I am your alpha and you are going to show me some respect"

he whimpered "yes Alpha"

I hate that I used my alpha tone on him but he was getting me angry, we got into the car, the driver noticed the tension between the both of us but kept quiet and drove us to the packhouse where everyone is waiting for their Alpha.
