Kayleigh is jealous. Kayleigh still cares… I'd like to believe she even loves me, still. 

My head is floating and my heart is about to burst with the new discovery. 

But I don’t have enough time to bask in the little spark of hope that Kayleigh just lit. 

Because the bane of my existence is standing in front of me, holding the only woman I’d want to claim as mine. 

“Kinsley and Reagan filled me up. As long as you stop chasing Kayleigh and promise not to come between my girl and me, I’m all about working together against the red wolves.” I almost lost my cool and smack him in the face. How dare he tells me not to come between him and Kayleigh?

“I’m not promising shit.” I tilt my chin and cross my arms in front of my chest. 

“Then we’re not doing this.” He trades a glance with Kayleigh before responding with derision.
