Chapter 2

Lisa's POV

"Oh I see, you are here for the deal right." The man with the commanding voice said.

"I.. um.. I.." I couldn't complete my statement. I just wanted to be left alone.

And left alone was not anywhere near me at all.

Because he never left me alone that night.

He took off his shirt and pushed me towards the bed.

That was not what I had bargained for, even though I didn't do any bargaining.

It was more like moving from a frying pan to fire.

Because he did to me what No man has ever done to me.

I tried to fight back but I was unnecessarily feeling so weak , I couldn't move my body not even for an inch.

He was so strong, I could feel that he was no ordinary guy from the way he rocked my body.

"No.. no, this isn’t real.." I tried to reassure myself as I woke up the next morning.

My body ached so badly, My head throbbed also.

But it was nothing compared to the unbearable pain that lay still in my heart.

I blinked, with my vision blurry, and my skin sticky with so much sweat.

The room smelled of musk and something else , something that made my stomach twist in horror.

I turned my head, and there he stood.

A man.

Not a man I knew but a stranger.

His bare chest rose and fell with deep , and even breaths.

The sheets tangled around his waist, revealing more than I could bear to see..

My breath got caught in my throat.

My hands trembled as I touched my body, my dress was torn at the hem, and my inner thighs became sore and stained.

Tears burned down my cheeks .

My voice came out in a whisper , it was barely audible.

"What.. happened?" I asked but my thoughts and memories answered me immediately.

My memories flashed in that instant

I remembered the club.

Then I remembered drink that I had.

My stepsister's comforting voice that kept telling me to relax.

Then.. I remembered how i got into the room and how everything panned out.

And now.. this.

"No.. no, no, no!" I gasped, with my chest tightening.

My fingers clawed at the sheets as I scrambled back, my body was literally screaming in pain with every movement i made.

The man before me stirred at me, with his brows furrowing.

Then a deep sigh left his lips , but he did not even wake up.

He didn’t even care.

He didn’t even look at me at all.

I swallowed the sobs that were threatening to break free from my eyes.

My hands shook as I reached for my dress , while clutching it over my chest.

I needed to leave immediately, i couldn't bare to stay there any longer.

I needed to get out of here , i already felt so filthy.

I had a mate and I had done something very bad to him.

Something that was an abomination.

If this eventually gets out, I will not be spared.

I was mated to the Alpha of my pack.

I stumbled out of the bed, with my knees so weak beneath me .

My feet barely carried me to the door. I didn’t even have shoes.

I didn’t have my phone.

I was lost and confused.

"My phone.. my stepsister ," I whispered to myself.

She brought me here..

She must have realized I was missing. She must have looked for me. Right?

I was so convinced.

I wiped my tears and forced myself to move.

The hall outside was so empty, but my shame followed me , clinging to my skin like filth which I could never wash away .

The moment I stepped outside, the cold air slapped my face.

I shivered.

I wrapped my arms around myself, and I was barely able to breathe.

My legs moved on their own, while carrying me away from the place that had stolen everything away from me.

I ran. I didn’t know for how long, but by the time I reached home, my body felt like it would collapse .

I burst through the door , while gasping for breath.

My stepmother turned, there was a scowl already forming on her lips. "Where have you been?" She asked.

My father’s gaze darkened from across the room . "You spent the night outside?" His voice was so sharp , it was as sharp as a blade.

I opened my mouth, but no words could come out of them.

My chest heaved as I searched the room , while looking for the only person that I thought that I could trust.

And there she was. My stepsister. Sitting so comfortably, while sipping tea like nothing had happened.

I staggered forward. "Where.. where were you?" My voice cracked a bit. "I searched for you. You were the one who.. who brought me there." I asked her in a whispered voice.

She gasped, while placing a hand on her chest. "Lisa, what are you talking about?" Her eyes widened with a very fake concern. "I looked for you everywhere last night! You disappeared. I thought you came home." She said.

My heart dropped immediately.

My breath came out in shallow gasps..

"Liar!" My voice broke as I stumbled toward her. "You.. you did this. You left me! You.."

A sharp slap cracked across my face.

I staggered back instantly , while clutching my cheek.

"You dare raise your voice in this house?" My father’s voice was filled with so much disgust. "Running around all night like a whore and now you are accusing your sister?"

My lips trembled. "I didn’t.. I wasn’t.."

"You should be ashamed of yourself," my stepmother spat. "Staying out all night with men. And now coming home with tears like some innocent girl?"

"I didn’t do anything!" My voice broke. My hands shook as I turned to my stepsister. "Tell them! Tell them the truth!" I said with my eyes pleading.

Her lips curled into a smirk for just a second..

It was so quick that only I caught it.

Then, she wiped her eyes, while pretending to cry. "I tried to stop her ," she whimpered. "But she wouldn’t listen. She.. she was dancing with so many men, drinking.. I couldn’t control her. I.. I left because I thought she was safe."

She was Lying. But why?

It was lies upon lies.

I shook my head violently. "No, that’s not true! You.." I couldn't complete my statement when another slap landed on my bare face.

This time, I fell to the floor. My father stood over me, with his face twisted in fury. "Enough." He said angrily.

My chest caved in .

The air in my lungs turned to ice.

My own father.

The man who was supposed to protect me from all.

My stepmother sighed. "We took care of you because the Alpha wanted you. You were our chance at honor. But now? Look at you. You are so filthy. And so disgraceful."

My fingers dug into the floorboards as I whispered, "What.. do you mean?"

My father scoffed. "You’re not even my daughter." My supposed father said those words to me.

The world tilted in that instant.

My chest began to hurt me instantly as soon as he said those words.

"No.. no, you are lying." I said comforting myself.

"You were never mine, your mother brought you in with her and now that she is dead, i was being forced to take care if you, you should have gone with her" he said so coldly.

"But I kept you because I thought you would bring this family glory. Now you have ruined everything."

Tears streamed down my face.

My whole life.. everything that I thought was real.. was actually a lie.

I turned to my stepsister one last time. "Why?" My voice was barely a whisper. "Why did you do this to me?" I asked with so much bitterness in my soul.

She smiled. Her smile was an evil, and victorious smile. "Because you had what I wanted. And now.. you have nothing."

I let out a very broken sob.

My body curled in on itself as I trembled on the floor.

My father turned away. "Get out." He said

I froze.

I was not expecting such cruel treatment from those I called my family.

They never actually thought of me as family.

"You are no longer welcome here," he said, with his voice void of any emotion at all .

"You are no daughter of mine. You are nothing to us."

Chapter 8 Lisa’s POV I froze, my hand halfway to the door handle. That voice.. it was light, lilting , and yet strangely commanding.. I’d never heard it before , but something about it felt.. familiar. My mind instantly went to the worst possible scenario. A rival. He’s already seeing someone else. Of course he is. I pressed my ear against the door , trying to catch the words. “.. he’s not here?” the voice asked softly, almost like a melody. My stomach knotted. The way she spoke — casual , confident told me she was no stranger to this house. I didn’t know when my fingers turned the handle, but suddenly the door was open , and I was staring into a pair of bright, honey-brown eyes. The girl blinked , startled , then her gaze swept over me from head to toe. She was stunning tall , with waves of dark hair spilling over her shoulders , dressed in a cream coat that looked far too expensive to touch.. “Oh ,” she said slowly, as if processing the sight of me. “You’re.. not who I e
