Vivian ran as fast her legs could, she ran as if her life depended on it. She was now regretting her decision to marry Alpha...Alpha Styx. Instead of having to die in the hands of a bloodthirsty werewolf or waiting for death. It would be better for her to just end her life at that moment.
One of the guards spotted her running and shouted, "Princess Vivian!" The remaining two guards left the carriage and ran after her.
Not bothering to take a look behind her, she kept running and running till she lost sight of the guards. She stopped, holding on to a tree, gasping for air. She should have thought of this earlier instead of troubling herself with all these. It would have been better if the Alpha had come for the wedding, they would have gotten married and she would have left him a present, her death.
Her eyes were on the cliff in front of her, she walked towards the cliff with a smile on her face. She stood at the edge of the cliff, looking down and hoping that the ground wasn't that far from there. She had always wished for a peaceful and sweet death but she knew too well that what she was about to do was far from a peaceful death.
Before she died she wished she would see her mother for one last time even if it would be just for a moment. Her mother might have abandoned her but she did care for her before she left her all alone and left her with her father who is more than eager to kill her. If only her mother had taken her along, if only she had thought about her daughter for a second. Just maybe...maybe her fate would have been different and she would have been spared from the cruel fate she was given. She must have done a lot of bad things in her past life and must be paying for it in this life.
She has always been alone even her groom refused to come for the wedding. He must have known she was nothing but bad luck, a cursed child since birth.
"Ahh!" She let out a sad chuckle, turned her body a little so that she could see Gael's castle. They were already in Gael when she decided to run from the carriage and where she was, wasn't far from the castle. A place that was meant to be her home, her new home. Even if she chose to go to Gael, she would still have to leave in the next three months. She was just doing the Alpha a favor and chose to leave much earlier.
"Alpha Styx, you will forever be indebted to this girl. I'm even sparing you from a marriage with a cursed girl!" Vivian yelled at the top of her lungs, tears falling freely from her eyes. All she ever wanted was to be loved, she just yearned for a tiny little bit of love but instead of that the heaven decided to bless her with something else. Who knows, she might even end up in hell.
She took a step forward, admiring the view down the cliff. It would be better for her to end it now, she looked down once again. She could hear the fast beating of her heart, she wanted to die but that doesn't mean she wasn't afraid of death. She took a step forward and then took a step back.
"Dying shouldn't be that bad, right?" Vivian mumbled silently and tried to take a step forward once again but then she couldn't.
"I thought you wanted to save Alpha Styx from your bad luck?" A deep voice sounded behind Vivian. Out of shock, she lost her footing and then…
"Ahh!" She screamed but before she could fall, a strong arm pulled her back and held her. She closed her eyes, trying to calm her beating heart.
"You sure are a weakling" the voice teased, bringing Vivian back to reality.
She wriggled her body out of the man's arm, turning around to face the man that interrupted her silent moment. She furrowed her brows in confusion, staring at the brown haired man in front of her.
'He's handsome!' mused Vivian, biting her lips to stop herself from drooling at a stranger. Who knows he might be a witch or even a vampire?
"Who are you?" Vivian inquired, creating a distance between the strange man and her. She wants to die but she wants a sweet and calm death. That's the least she could ask for after living a life that was no different from hell.
"Oh! I'm sorry, your highness." The brown haired man apologized with a bow. Indeed, he was handsome but the creepy smile on his face was scaring the hell out of her.
"I'm Karl, your husband...I meant Alpha Styx's advisor." He explained, still with his head bowed.
'This is embarrassing but...how did he know I'm Alpha Styx's bride?' thought Vivian. She hasn't met the Alpha nor his people, she doesn't even have an idea on how the Alpha looked like. But according to rumors, he was an old man who has been bedridden for years and he was cursed by someone called the Moon Witch or something that was why he had no bride.
"You must be wondering how I was able to recognize you right?" Karl asked with a smile on his face. Looking at his smile, Vivian's heart couldn't help but skip a beat. If only, her groom could be half as handsome as he is.
"The Alpha sent me to escort you but I was afraid you might get uncomfortable with a stranger but I wouldn't have guessed that you would try to commit suicide," said Karl. He followed her silently, all the way here. He was never in support of the alliance between the humans and the werewolves mostly because of Alpha Styx's hatred for humans. He was expecting a proud princess, a clingy one to be precise but after seeing how she acted when her father told her the Alpha won't be attending the wedding and how she tried to jump down the cliff, she seems to be a little different. An interesting human that will keep the palace lively, hopefully.
"Oh! You should have stopped me then, what if I had jumped!" Vivian yelled at Karl. She was indeed thinking of dying, of ending her life and leaving this crazy world but then she was also scared of dying.
"It's your choice, I have no say in that. But since Alpha Styx ordered me to safely escort you then I wouldn't allow that." answered Karl.
Vivian looked into his eyes, speechless. If the Alpha had not ordered him to bring her to the palace safely then he would have stood there and watched her die. Maybe the rumors weren't a lie after all, the werewolves were indeed heartless. Unfortunately, she would be married to one.
It was only just for three months, it would all end in three months and then she would be free.Chapter 27*; This is just a conversation between Ama and Vivian in the past life. That was before Ama took over Vivian's body. Enjoy!!! ~~~~ "As of this very moment, Vivian . You are dead" said Ama with a smile on her face. "How..." "I've taken over your body, Vivian. I've taken control of your, soul, body and mind," said Ama. She never intended to get Vivian's body this way but she had no choice. Time wasn't on her side and she needed to complete her task. "You can't do that to me!" Vivian yelled. She only had three months to live... She had been trying to live with the fact that she would soon die and now... Now, she decided to snatch the remaining days she had left from her. "I already did," "Please Ama, Please!" Vivian pleaded z tears falling profusely from her eyes. She couldn't bear to leave like this, at least not this way. "Then let's make a deal then, Vivian?" Ama proposed, holding Vivian's hand in hers. "I will give tou a second chance in life. Both you and Styx
"You asked me to come here," Vivian said, finally putting the pieces together.Steve modded his head, with a huge grin on his face. He looked right into Vivian's eyes, staring deeply into her eyes, hoping he could see what was going on in that mind of hers.Vivian let out a sigh and asked; "Who killed my child, Steve?" That was the only reason she was here in the first place. She needed answers and since he had asked her to come here for an answer then she was certain she would be able to find those answers.A deafening silence toon over. seconds slowly turned into minutes and there was still not a single word from Steve's mouth. It seems like he was contemplating whether he should answer Vivian's question or not and when Vivian thought he wouldn't give her a response."This won't work, why don't we take a walk Instead?" Styx asked, his lips curved into a smile."But...""You want answers Vivian. You need those answers not me," he smiled, a smile that didn't reach his eyes. The more h
Styx and Theo walked side by side, heading to the palace's gate. Theo had instructed the pack immediately to get prepared for war and they were now on their way to Steve's Pack. Styx's eyes were bloodshed red and his eyes were cold. His steps were steady yet calm, the more he took a step forward the more he felt like he was going to miss Steve. The more he felt like Steve was going to escape from him."Alpha Styx!" Hazel called, running towards both Styx and Theo with a paper in her hand. Both Styx and Theo stopped walking, Theo turned swiftly, staring into Hazel's eyes and noticing the fear in them. He walked back, holding Hazel's hand and asked; "What's wrong, Hazel?""Vivian..." Hazel whimpered, trying to catch her breath. "Vivian has found out about her pregnancy and she has left the palace" said Hazel, with shaky hands. "What?" Theo gasped, taking a step back.Hazel slowly removed her eyes from Theo, staring at Styx's back. She noticed the way his shoulder dropped and the way
Vivian stood in the middle of her room, clutching the paper in her hand. Her eyes were void of emotions and it seemed her soul had left her. 'Shs lost her child!'Those words repeated in her head over and over again. Unconscious, she took a step back falling to the ground and soon enough tears came falling from her eyes. Lies...She had thought they had a good reason for not telling her about what happened with her. She thought there must have been a reason they hid it from her but in the end...they actually lied to her. They chose to keep the death of her child from happening, they chose to lie to her and...."Ahh!" She screamed, placing her hand on her stomach. She was losing it and she was going crazy. She picked up the letter, reading the last words once again. "Come meet me at the dark forest and I'll tell you about how your child died,"She let out a deep sigh and with shaky hands, Vivian stood up, picked up a cloak and walked out of her room. At that moment, she was only ke
Vivian stood on her balcony, gazing at the stars. For the first time, she felt tired of gazing at the stars. She stood there, thinking about what happened back in the garden and the more guilty she felt.If what Hazel told her about Sophia was right then there was no difference between both of them. Just like Sophia she has been searching for love her entire life. Yes, her parents loved her and had cared for her entire life but still...Still, she couldn't help but feel empty. She felt like there was a void in her chest, a void she had been trying so hard to fill. Later on, she thought maybe finding someone who truly loved her will fill that void but when...Even when she did find that someone that void still felt so empty. And that is why she still couldn't help but be scared of Styx's love for her. She couldn't help but be scared that despite everything, he was still going to leave her just like he had left Sophia."You should be asleep by now," said Styx, leaning against the wall, hi
"Leave right now, Vivian!" Hazel yelled, her eyes burning with fury. The more she stood there, looking into the eyes of the woman that took everything away from her, the more she felt like she was losing herself. Her wolf was getting loose but she couldn't take that risk. She still hasn't gotten her revenge yet and she couldn't afford to risk it now. At least, not for now."I won't," Vivian responded. She wouldn't leave the maid here and walk away as if nothing happened. She wouldn't leave and let Sophia have her way. And she knows too well, she wouldn't be able to bring herself to leave the maid while Sophia treats her like she's nothing.Hazel stood still, not too far from both Sophia and Vivian. She held Grey tightly in her arms, her brows furrowed in confusion. She stood there, watching both Sophia and Vivian, staring into their eyes. She had known Sophia for years now, she got married to Theo months after Sophia and Styx got married. She had witnessed how brutal Sophia could be
