I have heard that acting was becoming popular among the younger generation, but today, in the court, was the first time I saw what acting really was. It was one thing to pretend and another to act.

And I must say, Allison’s acting was a ten out of ten.

Was I stunned? Hell, yes.

But did I let her see that? Well, I tried to hide it until she played her last stunt, forcing my jaw to drop as it fell.

Allison looked me in the eye and whimpered, “I’m begging you to protect my image, Alpha King Xalen. It will be all I have left after I return home to my pack, failing to become the queen they believed I could be.”
