OLIVIA'S POV

The next day came by in a blur and I did not do a lot of things with Julian as he was particularly active in pack duties.

When it was nighttime, my mind was doing that thing it usually did, rethinking my entire existence and formulating ideas of the things that I could have done better. In honesty, there were a few things that I could have done better, or maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me. I had quite an understanding mate and all but I could spot all of my flaws and I didn't want him to recognize that about me.

I wanted our relationship to work out but I feared my past would get between us.

"Olivia, just sleep," I told myself as I wrapped the duvet closely around my body.

"It's alright," I told myself.

My ears perked up when I heard a sound but I ignored it and went back to sleep but not until I heard the door to my room slam.
