Everything around Rose stilled, “This can’t be happening,”

“This can’t be,” Rose glanced at the witches, tears-filled eyes staring at them with hope shining in them.

“They-they are alive, ri-right?” Her heart kept slamming against the ribcage and the news shook her entire self. Her mind kept denying the information she received and she couldn’t understand how to react to it.

“No, sadly they are not, I’m sorry,” one of the witches responded.

She had never met her parents and didn’t even know their names until now but she kept living with the hope that she would find them. She will meet them someday, and when she does, she will ask them all those questions she wants to ask.

Learning that she could never meet them shattered her dreams and the little hope she had. She felt the ground underneath her feet slip away. Tears kept rolling down her eyes, as her heart broke into millions of pieces.
