He shifted his gaze to the files on the table. “Go make something to eat. I’m starving.”
I blinked. The seductive smile I’d practiced faltered.
“Maybe you’re confused,” I said, my voice dripping with false bravado. “You didn't call me here to cook, Thomas. I came here to sleep with you. Fuck me and let me go.”
Thomas moved.
He didn't walk; he prowled. In a flash of Alpha speed, he was in my space.
He hooked his thumb under my chin and tilted my head back. Thomas forced my eyes to lock onto his emerald, predatory stare.
"You’re being paid to do what I say," he hissed. His breath warm against my lips. "But it seems you’re too desperate, Kiara. Don't worry. I’ll quench all your thirst tonight."
I glared at him. My heart hammered a rhythm of pure defiance.
He was mocking me. I pushed against his chest.
“As you wish, sir..” My voice dripping with professionalism.
I turned and walked toward the kitchen. The familiar layout of the marble counters felt like a slap in the face.
During our marriage, I had spent hours here. I had learned every one of his favorite recipes from the pack chef.
I had poured my heart into every meal, hoping a well-cooked dinner would make him see me.
He never did. He never even looked at the plates I set out. He’d walk past me like I was part of the furniture.
I started cooking. The sizzle of the pan and the aroma of spices filled the air. I could feel his eyes on my back.
From the corner of my eye, I saw him sitting at the dining table. A strange, dark smile played on his lips as he watched me move.
When the meal was finished, I set the plate in front of him. The steam rose between us, smelling of the effort I used to waste on him.
"Sit," Thomas said. He gestured to the chair opposite him. Luna queen’s place. The place I left a year ago.
"No, thanks," I snapped and wiped my hands on a towel. "I’m not hungry."
Thomas didn't growl. Instead, he reached for a second plate. He served a portion of the food—my favorite parts—and set it down firmly on the table.
I froze. I stared at the plate, then at him. He had never done this.
Not once.
"Eat," he commanded. His eyes traced the pulse in my throat. "We’ve got a long session ahead of us tonight. I don't want you passing out like a weakling this time."
He pointed at the chair. It wasn't an invitation. It was an order.
A command from Alpha King Thomas that no one could deny.
My stomach twisted—half from hunger and half from the terrifying realization that tonight, he planned to do much more than just break my body.
I sat down. The chair felt like a throne of thorns. How easily I used to sit on this chair once. Now it felt like a burden. As if I knew I don’t belong to this chair. I never did.
“What are you staring at? Start eating? We should be in the bedroom by nine.” Alpha king Thomas smirked.
I picked up the fork. My hand trembled so slightly I hoped he wouldn't notice.
I stared at the food I had prepared. It was exactly what he liked—the way I used to make it every night for a year, only to scrape it into the trash while I cried in the dark.
A bitter laugh bubbled in my throat, but I choked it back.
During our marriage, this was my only dream. Just one meal. Just one moment where we sat across from each other like a normal couple, instead of him treating me like a plague he was forced to endure. I
had prayed for this. I had begged the Moon Goddess for it.
Now, my prayer had been answered. But the cost was my dignity. A red silk dress, and a cheque that proved I was nothing more than a commodity.
I took a bite. It tasted like ash and irony. But then he asked something and my heart stopped beating.

KiaraI was stepping out of the hospital. The scent of antiseptic was still clinging to me when my phone vibrated. It was Marcus.“Hello, Marcus,” I said, yawning. I still felt so sleepy. But I came straight to the hospital to pay the bills. I almost cleared 1/4th of the due payment.“Congratulations, Kiara! You’ve hit the jackpot. Thomas has booked you for a month!”My heart stopped. The world seemed to tilt on its axis. “What?”Brought for a month? Did I hear right?I squeezed my eyes shut. My body throbbed beneath my clothes. The memory of his teeth on my neck and the brutal heat of his body was fresh. The moment he laughed at me that I couldn’t handle him, I should have known what he was up to.The stamina of Alpha king Thomas didn’t fade till dawn, I was nearly broken. I had no idea how many times I came last night. I still feel my body pounding with his thrust.“No,” I snapped. “I’m not interested. Give him someone else.”I knew Thomas Blade. He wasn't just an Alpha king; he was
When I woke up, the bed was cold. It screamed I was alone on bed for a long time. The scent of honey and roses was faded and replaced by the sterile smell of the air conditioner.I sat up. My heart raced. I scanned the room.Empty.The bathroom was silent. No Kiara. Only the indent on the pillow proved she hadn't been a fever dream. The creases on bedsheet screamed she was there with me.But now she left. Like she never exist.Rage, hot and sudden, flooded my veins. She had left. She had taken my mark, taken my seed, and walked out like I was just another client. She even said a word before leaving.I grabbed my phone and searched for her number in my contact list. I took it from my Beta to talk about the compensation for divorce. But I couldn’t call because she already denied the amount. If she loves money so much then why did she refuse to take divorce compensation. Why did she choose this path? From Ex Luna queen to whore? My head started aching again.I dialed her number. My grip
"Yes, I have done this more times than you count." I gasped. My nails were digging into the sheets. I forced a jagged laugh. "Haven’t you heard of surgery? I keep getting it done. That’s why my clients are always so pleased with me."The lie was a bitter pill.I didn't want him to know that even after he discarded me, no one else had touched me.I didn't want him to know my wolf refused to sleep with anyone, even when he didn't want me.My words were gasoline on his fire. He roared. His inner beast taking control. He buried his face in my neck, leaving deep, purple love bites. He bit into my soft flesh like a wild animal claiming a kill. I was his prey and he was a hungry lion.My moans filled the room—a mix of agony and a treacherous, fated pleasure. He ravaged me, over and over, his stamina fueled by Alpha blood.4 a.m. came and went. The torment didn't stop.Thomas Blade was Alpha king. Much more powerful than anyone can ever imagine. I was crushed under his body for the whole nigh
KiaraI knew his game.Thomas didn't want pleasure; he wanted to see me break. If I showed him the agony tearing through my chest, he’d only dig his claws in deeper."No," I whispered. I reached out and grabbed his silk collar.I shoved him. I expected him to fight it but he let me push him back onto the bed. I climbed on top of him. My knees pinning his thighs. My fingers trembled as I fumbled with his buttons. But I tried to keep it firm."You’re paying me, sir." I said, my voice eerily calm yet seducing. "It’s my job to keep you happy. Let me show you my service."I could see the irritation flare in his golden eyes. He looked at me like I was a stranger.“Is it really you, Kiara?”He felt cheated, convinced I’d played his family for fools with my innocent act. Good. Let him believe the lie. It was safer than the truth.I leaned down and brought my face inches from his. This was the face he used to turn away from. But right now it was so close to him.I pressed my lips onto his, co
KiaraI stood frozen. The crowded bar suddenly felt so suffocating. My hands flew on my neck.A year. It had been exactly one year since Thomas Blade tore my life into pieces. I thought I’d escaped his shadow. I thought he’d forgotten I even existed.During our marriage, I was a ghost. He barely looked at me. When he did, it was with pure disgust. On our wedding night, while I sat trembling in a white dress, he told me he hated me.He hadn’t touched me then. He hadn’t wanted me.Now, he’d bought me.For one night. But No. I didn’t want to face him when I was in the dirt he had thrown me."Please, Manager," I whispered to Marcus. My voice shook. "Tell that man no. I don’t want to go with him."I know what will happen if I see him tonight. Alpha King Thomas would laugh at my state. I couldn’t expect sympathy from that cruel Thomas.Marcus hissed in my ear. "Are you crazy? You’re lucky Thomas Blade set his eyes on you. The other girls are dying to be under him. Please him, and he’ll show
