The Alpha King's Unworthy Luna

The paper in Katerina’s hand felt like a heavy stone. She walked out of the clinic, her eyes stinging with tears she wouldn’t let fall. Was she happy? Or scared? She didn't know anymore. The doctor’s voice replayed in her head. “The test is positive. You’re going to have a pup.”Her mind flashed to her bonding ceremony three moons ago. Under the full moon, she had become the mate of Charles Hastings, the next Alpha of their pack. For one night, she felt like her wolf had found its true home. She had loved Charles since they were pups. She was just ten winters old when she first saw him. From that day, she worked hard to be someone he would notice. For twelve long years, she worked to make that seed grow. She knew she was from a low-ranking pack, unworthy of an Alpha’s son. So she worked in secret. Late at night, she taught herself to design and sew, her fingers tracing patterns until they ached. The kick came out of nowhere, sending Katherine crashing to the cold hospital floor. A sharp cry escaped her lips as her arms flew to her stomach, a shield for the tiny, secret life within. Before she could even catch her breath, her adoptive father, Jones, loomed over her. Through her blurred vision, she saw the scene that s

After a few seconds, a transformation came over Katherine. The usual gentle, accommodating mask she wore for her family melted away, replaced by a visage of cold, unshakable resolve."Katherine, what are you still doing here?" Amelia’s eyes, which had been red from fake tears, now widened in alarm.A slow, sarcastic chuckle escaped Katherine’s lips. "It seems I’m just in time to volunteer for the role you just scripted for me."Amelia’s face fell, the color draining from her cheeks as she realized Katherine had heard everything. "How dare you eavesdrop on us!""Yeah," Katherine said, her voice dangerously low. "If I hadn't, I would never have known my sweet, kind sister was such a shameless, two-faced whore.""How dare you call her that, you ungrateful brat!" Freya shrieked, stepping forward. "You are digging your own grave! You were never
