It’s been two days since I have set my eyes on the man that saved me, I can’t argue about it.
Each day I am scared that Tamlin would take me away but when I open the door, I found him outside, he has been there for two days. I have no idea what his name is, I only remember him standing with Alpha Arnold. Several omegas come and go into the house, presenting me with food and clothes and any basic need, I have never felt so important in my whole life. Still I don’t want to jinx it. It’s the morrow of the next day, a lady has picked out a black shirt and blue jeans, prepared breakfast and left. After I was done eating, I heard the horn of a car outside. I stepped out to find him leaning on his car. Wearing a brown suit, he had a mild smile as he looked at him, I couldn’t help but stare. This man was divine. I walked slowly towards him and he opened the door for me, I looked at him confused where we were going but I didn’t say a word. I got into the car and he drove, after a couple minutes I could recognize the road ahead of us and my body tensed up. My fear was once brought back to life, he was taking me back to the Dark moon pack, I began gasping for air, frantically looking for a way to escape when he held my hand. He gently squeezed it and smiled at me once again, Goddess what was happening? Is he selling me out after saving me? That explains why he was out of town for two days, he was negotiating the terms to take me back. I could already see the smug look on Tamlin face once he sees me, that look of victory that he had won and I had lost once again. We arrived at the pack house and he stepped out of the car, I sat there refusing to move after he had opened the door. “It’s going to be okay, I promise” the look in his eyes made me feel secure, feel safe. That he wasn’t lying to me and I was indeed not in trouble. “No one will take you away from me” he added, I felt pretty safe after those words, strange enough that it was from a man I met two nights ago. He leaned down and kissed my forehead, that was when I felt it, a spark, not string enough to feel that he was my mate but enough to know that there was something between us. Something yet to reveal itself. I stepped out of the car, and followed him through those narrow halls. We are seated in an office, waiting for Alpha Phil when the door burst open and Tamlin walked in. He shot his eyes at me and I got goosebumps all over, I leaned towards Arnold, I could see the hatred in his eyes, as he looked at me. He didn’t take his eyes off me, even after he sat down, with Arnold beside me, I glared back at him. He wasn’t the only one with a suppressed rage within, I was the one who was tricked and betrayed. The door opened and Alpha Phil walked in. I unconsciously bow my head as he walked in and so did Tamlin, Arnold just crossed his legs and waited until he sat down. “It’s good to see you Alpha Arnold” Alpha Phil stated. “Same here” Arnold responded. A grunt escaped the lips of Tamlin, certainly pissed by the scene in front of him. Arnold had his right arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. “I heard from my son what happened, my apologies for his rash behavior” “Don’t apologize for me, he is the one that took something from me.” Tamlin cut off his father’s words. “The apology has been accepted but it would be much better if I heard it from him” Arnold responded. “Is it true?” Alpha Phil asked. “Yes” He responded, “She is my mate” Tamlin sprung from his seat, “That’s a lie, she is not his mate, she is my mate” A laugh almost burst out of my lips, there he was acting like I belonged to him when he cheated on me openly, he has declared my sister as his bride and showed no remorse about it, now here he was claiming I was his mate. “Is this true Alora?” I lifted my head to Alpha Phil. This was the first time he had ever spoken to me, I nodded my head in response. Scared of the words that could escape my lips, they would be nice words and all I wanted was to be away from the pack and Tamlin. “She is lying, she is my mate. She doesn’t feel anything for him. Tell him the truth Alora” I watched Tamlin crash out, and it felt good to see him that way. To understand the pain of something being taken away from you. “Silence Tamlin” Alpha Phil cautioned him back to his seat. “I hope we have no more issues again” Arnold spoke staring right at Tamlin, “This is the last time you will see my mate, you do realize the consequences if you break our treaty” Arnold stated, “Yes, we understand” Alpha Phil spoke. Arnold nodded his head and stood up, he held my hand bringing me up to me feet, “Then we will take our leave, we have a lot more to do” He said and we began moving towards the door. The sound of a chair crashing in front of us caused us to pause, “You will not take my mate away from me, she is mine. If I can’t have her then you can’t” Tamlin burst, bones breaking as he shifted into his wolf in a fit of rage. Before I knew it, he launched into the air and straight towards me. I saw my life flash bearing my eyes.Mary paced back and forth in the living room, her mind heavy with worry. Her son Richard sat on the couch, his face etched with a mixture of exhaustion and sadness. The atmosphere in the room was tense, the weight of an impending decision hanging in the air. "Richard, I've been thinking about this for a while now," Mary finally spoke up, her voice laced with concern. "I think it might be best if you consider divorcing Elaine." Richard's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? Divorce? Mom, how can you say that? Elaine is my wife.” Mary sighed, taking a seat beside him. "I know, Richard. I understand that she is your wife but she has cancer. it's a serious matter. It's going to be a long and challenging road for both of you. Divorce might be the best option for her, for her sake." she said trying to twist her words into his mind. Richard's face twisted with a mix of anger and disbelief. "Are you seriously suggesting that I leave her when she needs me the most? I thought you,
Cassandra, a beautiful woman with long brown hair and black eyes wearing a red dress stood in the front of the Olive mansion. Her heart fluttering with anticipation to see her dear friend as she knocked on the door. It had been months since they last met, and the weight of their separation had only grown heavier with time. Elaine had always been a pillar of strength and unwavering optimism, but Cassandra couldn't shake off a nagging feeling that something was amiss. Moments later, the door swung open, revealing Elaine's tired but still radiant face. A flicker of surprise crossed her features before giving way to an exuberant smile. "Cassandra! I've missed you so much," she exclaimed, pulling her friend into a warm embrace. The familiar scent of Elaine's lavender perfume enveloped Cassandra, instantly transporting her back to cherished memories of their laughter-filled adventures. She held onto Elaine tightly, savoring the warmth of their reunion. As they stepped back, Cassan
Elaine sat in front of the mirror watching her teary blue eyes, her long black hair shining effortlessly from the sunlight, her beautiful face was turning into something hideous because she wanted to hide her tears. She held her ears and raised her head to push back the tears, maybe not seeing her face would probably not remind her of how miserable she was so she sat nervously on the edge of the sofa, her palms moist with perspiration. Ever since she got the news, she has been experiencing fatigue, accompanied by unexplained bouts of dizziness and sharp pains in her abdomen but that would be due to her starvation in the process. The worry gnawed at her insides, making it difficult to focus on anything else. She knew she couldn't keep it to herself any longer; she needed to share her concerns with her husband, Richard. Richard, a hardworking man with a demanding career, had been engrossed in his work lately. The mounting pressure and constant deadlines had consumed most of his
In the city of Greece, a lovely mansion with a beautiful garden. The first rays of sunlight streamed through the curtains, gently illuminating the room where Elaine lay in bed, her weary eyes staring at the empty space beside her. It had become a familiar sight—a husband who was physically present but emotionally absent. Richard, the love of her life and her husband had become a mere stranger in their marriage. As Elaine mustered the strength to sit up, she glanced at Richard, hoping for a spark of recognition or a word of comfort. But his eyes remained fixed on the newspaper in front of him, his silence was a constant reminder of their growing apart marriage. She stared at her husband still waiting for his recognition but it seemed as if he was never going to acknowledge her presence or the fact that she had woken up. With a heavy sigh, Elaine mustered the courage to break the silence. "Richard" she spoke softly, her voice laced with a mix of hope and desperation. "I ne
Arnold’s POVWe pulled up to an old warehouse on the far side of the ridge, the kind of place no one paid attention to. Rusted metal walls, broken windows, iron doors bolted shut. My gut twisted; this was it. I could smell her scent, it was Faint, but there.I jumped out first, Zach came around the other side, eyes sharp, already sniffing the air.“Zach,” I barked, “Scoop around the premises. I want no holes, no rats running. If there’s a back door, you close it.”He nodded once, no hesitation. “Got it.”The rest of my men followed me, heavy weapons slung, No one joked, no one smiled. They knew this wasn’t about a fight. This was about her.I ran my hand along the cold iron of the entrance door. It was reinforced and bolted, meant to keep people out or in.“Plant them,” I ordered. Two of my men crouched fast, fixing small explosive charges to the hinges and lock. I paced a step back, my pulse thundering in my ears. The last time I saw Alora, she was smiling at me, soft, shy, holding m
Alora’s POVMy body felt heavy, my arms stiff like they were chained down. My throat was dry, and my head spun like the world was tilting. I blinked, my lashes sticky from tears, and then I saw him.He was sitting right in front of me, like he had been waiting for me to wake. His face too calm, too relaxed, a smirk tugging at his lips like he was enjoying my suffering. In his hands were small white pills. He rolled them between his fingers, like toys, he had all the time in the world.“You’re awake,” he said smoothly. “Perfect timing.”I shifted against the chair, the rope digging into my wrists. “What… what do you want?” My voice cracked.Tamlin’s eyes gleamed. He leaned forward and grabbed my chin, fingers rough on my skin. “Open your mouth.”“No.” I shook my head fast, squeezing my lips together. He laughed, not angry, just… amused. “Don’t be difficult, Alora. You know I always get what I want.”I clenched harder, but his hand slapped across my face so quick and sharp that I cried
